Hi Bulldog, welcome to the forum. You’ll find a heap of helpful folks here. You’ve got yourself a nice bike there.

The answer to your question will depend on which city’s Northern Suburbs.  :grin

I’m in Brisbane, and I take mine to Brisbane Motorcycles at Windsor. They are not the cheapest, but the know the ST very well since they do the servicing on the police ST1300’s. Their customer service is impeccable.

Others will chime in with some cheaper but also good options.

Cheers,
Steve.

Yeah, that would help.

In Melbourne, Max at ProGear in Epping was my go to guy - but he has shut up shop, Motoworx in Eltham has moved to Bendigo, High Octane in Thomastown, a mate (who is very knowledgable on all things Honda) recommends them - but I have not been there yet.  Did have the ST1300 booked in for 60K service and tyres, but cancelled due to COVID restrictions.

So, I don't know.  I usually do my own oil & filter changes, plenty of members will be willing to assist on those, especially if there's a chin wag and a beer involved.  More involved items I take to a shop, just not sure myself at the moment.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

All the plastic is complicated enough lol

No special tools, just a normal socket and screw driver or two.

Somewhere there will be a link to how to service the 1300

Here is a link for the oil change.

Sounds bloody steep to me!  :o

It's not hard to do an oil & filter change yourself and at that price I'd certainly be considering it.

You can buy good quality oil & a filter for under a hundred bucks...even less if you can get the oil on "special".

Good luck!  :thumbs

I get my oil from an auto shop (Super Cheap Auto on east coast) and use the Ryco filter.  I price my oil changes, including rear drive, under $50.

I dare you to ask what's the best oil to use!    :rofl

Honda oil is about $100 and Honda filter say $20 that leaves $170, yes a little high.

Penrite from Supercheap, usually around $50 on special - I'll buy 2 x 4 litre and wait for the next special.

Filters - if you are in for the long haul buy in bulk, 5 x Ryco for $75 off eBay.

Tools - basic will do, but to make it a little easier, one of these https://www.amazon.com/Motivx-Tools-Filter-Wrench-Engines/dp/B00Y5JWW1W will help.

Skill - if I can, anyone can, you may even be able to do it without spilling any oil, but that skill has somehow evaded me.  But next time ....
