Looks like I will not make this one. We are still in Katherine NT trying to hang around up here long enough to make the Coober Pedy RTE.
Probably a bit early for that one but we will see.
Looks like Brock has fixed the problem I was having with the forum. All the state RTE's are back. :runyay :runyay

Looking forward to this weekend! I was planning on bringing a +1, but my partner has been unwell this past week and doesn't think the ride would do her any favours. So instead of staying with friends in Wangaratta for the weekend, I'll most likely be heading up and back on the day... just need to sort out a weird noise in the front end first >:()

Well, looks like I'll be riding in a convoy with my Mum on her CB500X as far as Kilmore, where she'll stop to have a cuppa with her sister. I'll try to convince her to come the rest of the way too, could make a nice family outing...

Guys. I can't make it. Battery fully charged. But it just won't kick over. I've had mice in the shed so I'm wondering if they did some damage. I don't know what to do. May have to trailer it to mechanic any way. Have a great day.

Hi all, I'm a non starter for this one too. I rode down from Nowra to Albury yesterday (via a Canberra detour because the highway was closed due to an accident!) and just about got washed off the road with the wind and rain. I'm in Albury now and it is pelting down, so I think I'll cut my losses and head back home northwards because apparently its not raining there! Hope the pub foods good! Rod.

Originally 7 people were planning on attending, but only 4 made it on the day.

Not too bad considering the weather.
It had been very cold and wet for at least a week.
At 4 am Sat morning on the day of the ride laying in bed listening to the rain belting down and the wind howl, my mind was busy thinking up plausible reasons why I was unable to ride today.
Anyhow, out of bed 7am, shower and breakfast, rug up and on the road at 8am.
Coffee and fuel at a service centre along the way, arrived at the Thoona pub 11:45am.
By the time I had one pot of coke Gordo arrived and not long after that Nigel also.
We chatted and waited for awhile before eating, just in case anyone else turned up.
We ate our meals and were walking out the door around 2:15 to head home when SteeveR arrived.
Quick hello’s a couple of photos to prove we were there, a lame excuse from me that I wanted to get home before dark and I headed off.
Rained Melbourne to Geelong, arrived home near Geelong 5:30
I did see the Thermometer nudge above 10 degrees C once for the whole day - brrrrr
All up, 648 K’s for the day

Hi all, Mark and I left via Wang and onto Benalla where we parted company. Nice ride home via Yea where I did cop some rain and a little thru the Slide where it was black as the ace of spades. But still, a great ride. Pub meal was fantastic and well priced . Always good to get away and meet some new faces. Sorry Steve we couldn't hang around any longer next time though, when theres more time. All in all barring the weather being a bit ordinary a top day. Nigel :wht11 :nahnah

Hi guys, just realised I hadn't chimed in yet! It was a great day for a ride... despite the stinging hail storm just out of Kilmore... By the time I got inside they were starting to close up the kitchen, but the cook felt sorry for me so rustled up some bangers and mash, with a big mug of instant coffee :crazy The weather got pretty crazy on the way home, the wind and rain really ramped up about the same time the sun set, and all the crazies decided to go for a drive on the freeway!
Long story short, I got home, dried off, then slipped into a hot bath with wine and chocolate (my partner had been watching me on SpotWalla and got it running as I was coming into town), not a bad way to end a day out :thumbs
