Yeah I have to agree with terrydj...............

I've seen them the same colour as the bike and they don't look as good as the black. It's worth remembering that they will be right next to black of the instrument cluster. In black they 'blend in' better.

Different strokes though.

To those in the know......

Can these be mounted UNDER the mirrors as well or just OVER the mirrors?

Dont think so, give one a try and then you can tell us.

I dont think the brackets will allow the light mount to clear the mirror pod.

Of course you could grind the weld away, and re secure them.

I tried every permutation, and the differential length of the spacer mean they go one way only, on top and on the correct side (and on top of the mirror bracket, not inside it)!!

With the mirror deflectors fitted, the won't fit. I've cut the weld on one of mine to see if I could modify it by any means.
I'll have to get some flat bar and see if I can make a new version.
At a later stage I might be selling a set of brackets.

Hey Diesel,

maybe some one with a grinder and welder could duplicate the arm over the mirrors and add one under the mirrors, just weld it to the same bracket. :rd13

The ST13 brackets are a bit different to the ST11 ones.  From the photo it looks like you could put a tube or rod into the tube that points down, or is there something in the way?

I believe that the shape of the ST13 would NOT allow this. At this spacing, any light you tried to mount would not fit as the body work below the mirror would prohibit this.

Hence the Dick Seng (under mirror) mounts are shaped accordingly...

With the right tools, and a bit of tubing and round stock, the brackets could be reworked.

See, a positive attitude is needed, enough of the doomsaying already.

If someone wants to lend me an over mirror bracket or both L&R better still,,, I'm happy to experiment with them and come up with a combination under and over bracket, laser cut and bent for a reasonable fee and on going orders.

I've no idea what $ those ones Diesel has shown cost but I reckon once I have a profile and jig they could be made without screwing forum members. The design would be far enough removed from original not to step on any toes.

Assembled as ordered...maybe even powder-coated to match the bike.or.standard Black .

Just a thought. :popcorn
