Yes what can one say.....Top Day as expected........arrived via altered route, just on the money.... via Bayswater , Lilydale , foggy as, had to stop 3 times both my glasses and visor fogged up with real heavy dew, :eek anyways, thru Yarra Glen up the slide left at the top, fog gone, onto Kinglake. Stop and put specs back on. Out thru the west down to Whittlesea to arrive and meet and great with Hendo and Williamson. OK move back up to K`lake west and onto Broadford via Flowerdale.(I think the pub is up for sale?) OK down thru Kilmore ,Wallan onto Woodend stop at Trentham for ten and onto lunch. Once again great to catch up with both old and some new faces,. They do a great feed there and always feel welcome. And as usual time to go turns up too quick. Back via, Woodend, Romsey, Wallan and onto Whittlsea to part with Hendo then a spirited ride with Williamson down thru Arthurs Seat via Panton Hill to exit at the back end of Eltham. Back thru Yarra Glen complete with "please sir fill this bag up with hot air if you don`t mind" :cop I think he was keen on the white bike and wanted a closer look. :law On to Lilydale and home . All up 440 odd for the day back home for 5. Well done all, nice turn out, and a big thanks to all that made it. Be there at the next one.......................................   :wht11

A Few fairly crappy photos from my phone. Forgot to bring the 'real' camera:
Good day though - even got to 32 degrees on the way home.

..... via Flowerdale. (I think the pub is up for sale?) ......

It's the Strath Creek pub that's for sale, and the Blackwood pub is for sale or lease - Ahhh, the life of a country publican .....

Thanks to Hendo and Nigel for the ride company, thanks to everyone for the lunch company.  What can I ad to Nigel's report?  Well, a couple of my highlights:

  #  Murchison Gap - that hill and corners are "a pearler" ....
  #  Ashbourne Road ......
  #  The climb out of Blackwood (Greendale - Trentham Road) on the way back to Trentham, pity about the 80km/h limit, nice curvy climb though .....
  #  Romsey - Wallan Road (like the Greendale - Trentham Road), 100km/h speed limit, so better......
  #  Arthurs Creek Road (I hope Nigel wasn't at Arthurs Seat - just as well he was not leading), Green Road and Cottlesbridge - Strathewen Road - sweet twisties, excellent surface, narrow seal - is this where I remind Nigel to watch for on-coming 4WD's?

Lowlight:

  #  320C on the way through Panton Hill .....

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

I had a fantastic ride over from home and stayed at Halls Gap on Saturday night.   I met Marcus at his place and we rode some fantastic roads to to Blackwood.    After a meal with old friends and new, I headed north, eventually stopping at a beaut little caravan park at Glenrowan, on my way to Coffs Harbour for the IBA ride.  Here's my group photo, with both the SA and Vic flag.

Tidying up some pics, found one from the ride home from the Blackwood RTE October 2014:

That's Nigel, and Hendo (RIP) to the far left.
