I'd love to see someone other than Williamson and I having a crack at this game.   With so many riders doing long distances to get to Perth, there must be some other players and town photos.

Pete,

This is a much more sensible and challenging exercise than some other silly game on 'ere that requires only a search in Acronym Finder and a slow process of elimination before someone eventually being announced a winner.

Now back on topic, would you believe that I have only one 'R' town in the Photobucket library.  I better get on the bike this week (I have a few days off) and get some more pics.

I agree that games such as this which get members riding and thinking are a fantastic.    While you are on the road, find an old pub and have a crack at the Photo Tag Game.  See the following for the latest tag. http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=4216.msg1194534#new

I looked at stopping to take photos of town signs on the way to Robe but decided the edges of the road were generally too soft, loose and not good places to park Ruby to take photo. So I didnt.

Many locations in front of signs are not suitable for me to park the ST, I only stop when it's okay.

The main signs often are not great but there is usually a second sign about the place that i look for that is much easier to park in front of ☺

Damn!  Hell  Poop!  I knew I missed something when in Tassie.  Oh well, it looks like I'll have to make another trip.

I have got to Zumsteins and Zeerust, not compliant pics though, but I plead my case when and if needed.

I searched all the roads in an out of Zeehan, but could not find a sign, and hence I used the Zeehan Fire Station, which caused some robust discussion.  :grin

It would be interesting to see this done within South East Qld.
Possibly within Greater Brisbane.

Just putting the challenge out there.

I reckon Pinaroo is within the rules....

"take pictures of your bike with the town or suburbs sign"
       and
"So to be eligible it needs to be a Picture of your bike or your bike with others in front of a Town or Suburbs sign, it may be the Town welcome sign, Towns elevation or population sign, but sign that clearly identifies and or promotes the Town or Suburb you are entering or leaving"

I thought the sign was a nice bit of fun.  However, the grace you have extended to me might serve you well in the future.  :grin

TOPBOX

Here goes:

Tallangatta Valley

Omeo

Pretty Flat

Bonalbo

Old Bonalbo

Xanadu

Some notes about these places and pics:

Tallangatta Valley - near Tallangatta (as the name implies), down a beautiful dead-end valley (for all but very hardened riders), lovely curvy, undulating road, no traffic, well worth the short detour if you have a spare 30 minutes up-your-sleeve next time you are in the area.

Omeo - I'm sure all Victorian riders have been there, and all that have not, want to go there, shame on you if you think otherwise.

Pretty Flat - it's surrounded by hills and mountains.

Bonalbo and Old Bonalbo - off the A, B & C roads, a lovely diversion if travelling in NE NSW / SEQ, between Killarney and Mallanganee.   https://goo.gl/maps/atciQ8kmfQz

Xanadu - obviously my "wild card", this pic chosen because it was easy to modify in Paint, Xanadu means: an idealized place of great or idyllic magnificence and beauty, this was actually in Harden NSW which does live-up to this alternative - apologies to the residents of Harden.

I thought that seeing as it was basically only us participating, making it a little more challenging wouldn't be a problem - you proved me right.

To add a bit more spice, how about the no. of letters increases by one, at least until it gets too hard to find a motorcycle related item with 32 letters.

Mmmmmm, I wonder when (when could be judged when we have an item with the most letters) and where we will peak (where could be judged as the last town).

Over to you.
