HOOTERS

Whilst we are waiting on a towns response ........

An item high on the priorities on our 2017 CAN / USA trip was a visit to a Hooters. I had a rush of blood, when out of the corner of my eyes I caught site of a Hooters sign on the side of a small town country café in Kremmling CO.   Braked hard, reversed back to the car park entrance, Helen wanted to know why? This why ........

Excitement turned to disappointment and Helen's amusement, when I read the sign carefully, but we were stopped, needed a coffee fix, so went inside.

It may not have been a real Hooters, but the talent was good. So was the coffee.

Similar thing happened a couple days later in Rifle, CO.  Stopped in the main street for lunch and spotted this out the corner of my eye.

Again, excitement was quickly replaced by disappointment, but I can wait until the next trip to the US of A.

End hi-jack, and now return to normal viewing.

Hiroshima (hiroshima)
Oodla Wirra (south australia)
Old Reynella (south australia)
Tailem Bend (south australia)
Elizabeth Park (south australia)
Rokewood (victoria)

I'm playing Hiroshima as a wild card because my bike is a wheelbarrow.  I pushed it the length of Japan and that's longer than any of the bike trips I did in Japan.

Goodo.  One observation.  Direction signs like Evanston are a dime a dozen.  They're not the town signs we struggle to get after seeing plenty of the direction and direction with distance signs.  I'd call it a kinda wildcard.

Mmmmm ......... we seem to have departed from the original intent and challenge of the game, quite a bit.  A little effort into "Widlcards", eg:

....... is after all only a little effort.  Come on fellas, raise the bar.

Here's the original rule on use of a wildcard, just as a reminder.

"One wild card per word, (A humorous, But CLEAN picture of any Town/Suburb has to be posted)"

I did say a wild card as there are four Evanston suburbs in said area, none of which had proper signs.  Believe me, I looked.  The sign I posted was in Evanston's borders.  Where was your O?

no more wild cards from me

I used a bona fide wildcard, defined as a "humorous, But CLEAN picture of any Town/Suburb"- that bike procession through town had a humorous situation of a dog in a trike.
There were no signs for our suburb "Virginia" when I needed a "V" but I just let someone else have it while I looked for a "V" place sign.
Simples.
