Nigel, are you traveling on Fri and Sat or just Saturday?

Hi all, at this stage I will be leaving in the wee hours of Sat morn, depends what happens Fri night, so if any one sees a white flash on the journey that will be me. Plan is pretty direct, thru Bendigo onto Mildura and then B Hill. see all there. :wht11

I've sent an e.mail to Les, to see if he's still going, as he hasn't surfaced on the Forum for quite a while.

Sad to say I'll have to pull out of this one.......some mechanical back pain which I don't want to get worse. Doc has given me a 3 month sick certificate plus a physio referral.

Alan, I'm sorry to hear that your back is playing up, but you need to take care of it as a first priority.   I haven't heard anything from Les, and he hasn't been on the Forum for some time, so I assume he's not going.   Therefore we have.....

Mikep, I expect to arrive at Yunta around 12.30pm.   Should we meet there, or travel on independently and meet at Silverton?

bad luck Alan, my wife just got over a pinched nerve in her back, seriously laid her up for about 2 weeks, not to be messed with.
Pete, Yunta at 12.30 sounds like lunch to me! Meet you there. The roadhouse looks to be pretty much it.  How about there?

Just four riders made it to Silverton, with Alan and Heather needing to pull out at the lat minute.   We all shared a room in a beaut accommodation block at the back of the Silverton Hotel.   After drinks and nibbles, we wandered the 10 meters to the pub for a our meal.  There was only one other party staying for the night, so Keith joined us for dinner.  He's travelling all over Australia with his disabled partner.  Good on them for spending their time seeing this great country up close.

We were told that the Hotel had served 50 meals at Saturday lunch and was anticipating 100 meals on Sunday, but just five us for Saturday evening.    Our plan was to have breakfast at the pub, which we were told opened for business around 8.00am, but at 8.10 there was no sign of life, so we headed into Broken Hill for a coffee and something to eat at Maccas.   Our "Flag" photo was in front of the ruisn of the old Silverton Hotel, which was the venue for a meeting in 1885 which formed BHP.

It was another great OzSTOC weekend, with attendees being Mikep, Nigel, Ppopeye and StinkyPete

Hi all what a great ride, left early about 3.35 arrived just on 1 pm. Mixture of cool to bloody cold and onto warm, then rain from Ouyen to outskirts of Mildura. The 300 k`s between Mildura to B Hill is magnificent nice and flat big sweeping curves and lots of straights. About 30 on arrival hit the bar with Garry then relax for arrival of Pete and Mike. Great meal and company. Quick breakfast at Maccas  with some more rain but mostly gone 10 mins out of B Hill, so sets the scene for a great ride home. Warmer  :H and Blue sky's for the trip back, all good till I ran out of fuel at Carlsrue. :cuss Quick call to RACV, and 20 mins later the final leg to get home for 730. Top weekend covered 1800 K`s so that's my personal best on a bike, and done without any issues..Next one bring it on................................. :wht11
