Just four riders made it to Silverton, with Alan and Heather needing to pull out at the lat minute. We all shared a room in a beaut accommodation block at the back of the Silverton Hotel. After drinks and nibbles, we wandered the 10 meters to the pub for a our meal. There was only one other party staying for the night, so Keith joined us for dinner. He's travelling all over Australia with his disabled partner. Good on them for spending their time seeing this great country up close.
We were told that the Hotel had served 50 meals at Saturday lunch and was anticipating 100 meals on Sunday, but just five us for Saturday evening. Our plan was to have breakfast at the pub, which we were told opened for business around 8.00am, but at 8.10 there was no sign of life, so we headed into Broken Hill for a coffee and something to eat at Maccas. Our "Flag" photo was in front of the ruisn of the old Silverton Hotel, which was the venue for a meeting in 1885 which formed BHP.
It was another great OzSTOC weekend, with attendees being Mikep, Nigel, Ppopeye and StinkyPete
