Just bought a 2005 ST1300 with 62,000 on the clock on Gumtree from Adelaide (unseen) as I live in Perth. It was a gamble, but I paid $5000 for the bike $607 to get it across and then all the WA paperwork and change of ownership details. Total cost $6,110.
I’m very happy with it and I can see why so many people love the ST1300.
In a previous life I’ve worked as a motorcycle courier in London, Dublin, Auckland, Bradford and Perth (AUS) using a Honda CX 500 as my choice of bike.
I’m looking forward to getting out and about around WA
My bikes over the years
1981 Honda express 50cc
1982 Suzuki GP100
1986 Honda XL250s
1987 Yamaha XJ750
1987 - 1996 (5) Honda CX500's
1997 Yamaha XJ750 (ex-Police)
My current ride  ST1300 2005 Model - Blue

Welcome on in. Pity you couldn't make it across here to SA to pick it up and meet a few of us. A great bike, love my 2000 ST1100 with 62000 on it and my 2008 ST1300 currently needing repair due to hitting a roo.

Hi Basher,

Welcome from Peterborough SA

Sounds like a fair swap - my 1300A came from Perth last year and you got one from SA this year; same price only mine is a year older and an extra 10K on clock.

Only I flew over and rode it 2600 km back home.

A warm welcome from the ACT Basher.

The CX is a great bike and you’ll find the ST is a fantastic bike, but it really excels in touring long distances.

Welcome to the ST Forum.  There's still time to make arrangements to attend the National Rally in Tassie in November.  That will let the ST stretch her legs!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
