Read lots about the faulty notification from knock sensors in ST 1300s but no answers, mine has done 150000 klms NO PROBLEMS but my mates with 70000klms has the dash engine management light on at 4000 rpm when the engine is hot with right knock sensor problem...yes his connection wire was burnt, we replaced the new lead and knock sensor but the fault keeps signaling, have drained the battery, reset the computer picked the brains of some motorcycle mechanics but no remidies...is there NO repair???   RALLY

We're not ignoring you Norm - just seems that one has us all buggered!

It's on file anyways - so if anyone happens across the answer - you'll be the second to know.

Cheers, Diesel

Yes, others are having similar problems, not only in Australia. Does only a knock sensor code come up?  I ask because Peter (bluehealer) had an issue that seemed like the knock sensor, but it was the oxygen sensor(s). A mechanic fitted a oxygen sensor bypass and all seems well now.
