:-++  Blimey Brock I've gained a whole new respect for you!!   :-++

Now can I get you to go and put me in your Will for those?  Please?    :whistle

I can't recall how many I've read, but I know there were 104.  I vaguely remember borrowing one of the frontispages decades before photocopiers, so I could keep track of my reading.

For the record, I was dubbed "Biggles" while teaching out in Bourke.  Apparently I evinced a greater appreciation for flying than teaching.  I'd beg borrow or hire any locally hangared lightie I could get my hands on.  Being a relatively remote town, there were plenty of opportunities to rack up the hours.

Almost every time I try to use it as a pseudonym on the internet it's already taken, and I'm offered "Biggles 18" or somesuch.  So there are a lot of wannabes out there!

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I have read most of them, as the primary school library had them.  Anyone else remember Gimlet, who was a commando type that WE Johns had as a character?

They've "Kindled" them?!  I gotta get a Kindle.  The Kindle PC app just doesn't quite do it for me.
