On holiday at Broken Hill, spotted pannier-less  :rd13 Silver City Highway near the Muso's club, then parked with its trailer off Iodide St last weekend.

Saw a dark (Blue?) ST1100 in Townsville this afternoon. Has some extra lighting mounted above the mirrors. Rego was something like YS-381. There is an OZSTOC numberplate frame fitted.
He was travelling on STurt ST, Woolcock ST, Kings Road and then Fulham Rd. I turned off at Gulliver ST.

Saw a maroon 1300 last Sunday morning, had a pillion on the back. It turned onto Lake Barrine Road off the Gillies Highway. We were having breakfast atthe Gillies Roadhouse.Sounded very nice, possibly had Staintunes on it.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Thanks everyone :hatwave
I couldn't resist a NEW shiney ST ;-* :wht13 and yes the Daylong is the first thing I put on it when I got home (Should have taken it with me :fp)
The only other thing that I have transferred over so far is Gadget's old top box (I still need to get it painted to match the new STeed, so it looks a little weird at the moment :o)

As for the old bike :blu13 I have a mate of mine that is very interested in buying it so he'll be coming along to tomorrow's RTE to give it a test ride :thumbsup :blu13 :wht13

Cheers

Saw a loaded red 98 ST1100 parked at the Portland foreshore today, 9.15 am. The young rider having a coffee at the time, so I pulled over to chat. Passed him a card.

The guys name is James, 22, from Christie Downs in Adelaide. He purchased the bike March last year.
He is single and touring SA / Vic at the moment, his first 'long ride' but he only travels a couple of hundred Km each day and camps wherever he stops. Has taken him 3 days via the coast road to arrive here at Portland. Time out to collect photos and smell the roses, is his priority.

While chatting, he mentioned that his bike was idling v e r y slowly, and often stalled in traffic.
I asked for his key, opened the filler cap, and showed him the
carby idle adjustment, of which he was unaware. He thought that it was 'Something to do with the fuel reserve?'
After starting the bike, and adjusting the low idle rate (which was under 400 rpm) to an acceptable level, he thanked me profusely and resumed his journey.

Colac was his goal for today. He is heading thru Melbourne to Bairnsdale, and then north ~ Omeo, Wangaratta, returning home along the Murray via Mildura.

Maybe some other members will spot him on his travels over the next four weeks?

I wonder how many other ST riders are unaware of this idle adjustment?

Sunday 3.30pm.  I saw a fantastic red ST1100 heading north on the Adelaide Southern Expressway.   It looked like it had come off a showroom floor.
