Correct me if I am wrong, but those don't look like Shark helmets (which have dual homologation) and the chin bars are up, which means they are not technically wearing helmets, or their flip helmets are not being worn correctly.

Maybe their helmets are approved for use as open helmets. I understand my Nolan isn't.

Spotted a red ST1300 in Fremantle. Had a chat with the owner. He had spoken to Yorkie a few weeks back and lives in Mandurah but had lost site address. Card given.

2001 burgundy ST1100  :dred11 parked in the Masters Hardware car park Mackay QLD on Sunday.

Talked to the owner, he didn't want a card as he's selling the bike to his brother in law, it had only about 50,000 km on the dial.  It did have a nice burgundy Honda top box fitted.

The road would be tolerable if it weren't for all the sodding 50 kay zones that go on forever through the villages.  By-passes are way past overdue.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Spotted on the way back from the Ripples on the Creek RTE heading into Beaudesert, a :wht11 Police version with flouro yellow front, side and rear and wearing a flouro jacket and helmet that had more flouro than me.  ++

We were catching up to him and then he pulled over, so I stopped to check he was alright.  Before I could chat he took off again, so I followed him into Beaudesert just in case something was amiss.

Had a chance to catch up with him in Beaudesert and it turns out he potters along at about 80 km/h and sensibly pulls over to let the cars go by.

Told him briefly about OzSTOC and handed him a card.  Couldn't talk longer as we were at an intersection.  :grin

Lovely gentleman made room for us to pass and later on, when we were having a conflab he waved as he went past.

Hope we see him on the forum soon.

Corner Lagoon Drive/Nebo Rd, Mackay, Sunday afternoon.  I was in the cage and saw a familiar outline approaching in my mirrors.  A couple on a burgundy ST1300  :13Candy pulled up beside me at the lights so I wound down my window and asked if they were members of the OzSTOC website, they said, "Not yet but will be in a couple of weeks."

They then turned right, south on to Nebo Rd, while I went straight ahead.

Spotted a  :13Candy again in traffic on the gateway southbound this morning.  Just north of Nudgee Flash for Cash.  He pulled in behind me and we rode together down to Southern Cross Motorway exit where we exchanged waves.

One day I'll get to card him.  :grin
Cheers,
Gary

I did see the cruiser in front this morning, didn't know it was Gary though. Very sweet ride.  Hopefully not too many more black ST's appear around the traps, keeps our exclusivity! ;-)
