Two surprises in one day!

Took the family to Hervey Bay today. Hired a 4 wheel cycle to ride along the esplanade.
Turns out that these things are quite difficult to pedal, so 10 minutes into it and I was struggling. Turned around and headed towards the hire place and nearly there when I realised that my wallet was missing!!

Retraced our tracks but no good. Checked back at the hire place.. no good. Damn! At least I had my license because the hire place kept it as insurance.
I walked back along the track and still nothing. Got back to the hire place.. had some lunch.. and then my wife got a message to call the local Police station because someone had handed in my wallet. Phew! What a relief!

Tonight I decided to remove the paneling from the ST to check out the thermostat and prepare for the carb sync.
I noticed some leaves deep in the interior of the motor (rear of the 'v').
I got a length of threaded rod and started digging out some gum leaves.
After half and hour of digging and scraping and air blasting here is 'most' of the result:

This includes some shredded paper and plastic, but mostly leaves and debris.
Managed to get another few handfuls after this photo was taken!
I bought the bike from a property out of town (Benaraby) and some meeses had made a nest there me thinks!

That was my first worry, too!

Everything is still working, and nothings damaged where I can see so hopefully it's all good!
