One of my friends also said it's not a lobster, it's a crayfish as it doesn't have nippers.  I'm not an expert on crustaceans so I don't know.

Rosetown is basically a geographical name, and only used as a derogatory, as in on the wrong side of the tracks. Larry is a representation of a southern rock lobster, or a cray, so no nips when catching them. Had a family friend who used to provide us with a share of his catch, even us young kids (at the time). Can't afford now 😡

The Big Windmill at Penong.  This is said to be the biggest windmill in Australia, so let the arguement begin.   :fp

I got the whale and the windmill as well, but not the oyster.  I also got the big 'farmer' on the return leg after our discussion in Border Village.  You're right... it looks nothing like a farmer.  I got the big galah as well.

I also looked up Australia's western and eastern extremes and calculated the halfway point across Australia would have been at Watraba, just east of Penong and a long way from Kimba.

When I get a few minutes to myself I shall write a trip report with a few photos.

The Big Whale at Nullarbor Roadhouse  (It's really not very big)
I took a couple of that one as well but rather small compared to the size of the real thing - whoops forgot to level the pic.

Nah!  I still say it's a normal sized Apex Predator.
Now if it was 20 metres long or to the same scale as your cooked prawn, THAT would be a BIG replica of a normal shark.    :think1

No challenge would stand scruitiny.

The mahi-mahi (/ˈmɑːhiːˈmɑːhiː/)[2] or common dolphinfish[3] (Coryphaena hippurus) is a surface-dwelling ray-finned fish found in off-shore temperate, tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. Also widely called dorado and dolphin, it is one of two members of the Coryphaenidae family, the other being the pompano dolphinfish.  Mahi means very strong in Hawaiian.
