Title: Tupperware Removal Worksheet
Post by: Shiney on January 26, 2018, 02:47:57 PM
I just noticed that there have been some questions as to Fairing Removal / Cowl Removal / Tupperware Removal from the ST so I thought I'd post this here :grin

I recommend using the cheat sheets from St-Owners.com :thumbsup

When you remove the fasteners, you place them on the correct spot on the worksheet.  This helps keep track of all the parts.  Also, each fastener is numbered so you can see the location where it came from - and where to put it back.

Some of the socket bolts are labeled as 5mm or 6mm - this is the thread size.  Also there are two different sizes for the trim clips - one has a golf T shaped head and the other is flat.

This was first mentioned on OzSTOC here: http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13.0 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13.0)
If you would like to see the original on ST-Owners follow this link: http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?73238-ST1300-TupperWare-Worksheet (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?73238-ST1300-TupperWare-Worksheet)

As for the actual removal of the fairings, the instruction can be found attached (look at the bottom of this post) :thumbsup

Cheers

I have been using the sheet for a while but I have added a small fishing tackle tray to hold the individual bits and pieces .    I always move the sheet of knock it over and the parts move quicker than kids on icecream.

I have added a magnetic strip to the back and laminated the sheets, this works a charm for the bolts :thumbsup
(But not so good for the plastic pins :fp)

There are seven PDFs at the bottom of the top post that still download, if that is what you are looking for.

Illustrated how-to's for removing the fairing.

And I have used them this afternoon, doing an oil change and getting to know the bike.

(But not so good for the plastic pins :fp)

I glued my laminated sheets to 3 ply and drilled the appropriate sized holes, so even the plastic pins are now held in place.

Thanks Glen, I had the 3 PDF's but not the Wordoc. I'm sure having the PDF's on the forum will help a lot of the new ST owners - they've certainly helped me put Scarlett back together.
