Hello All.  This is my first reply in a forum setting, so thanks for having me.

I've owned my beautiful ST1300 for over a year now.  LOVE IT with all my heart.  I crashed (first crash in 15yrs riding) into the back of a tesla in heavy Brisbane traffic.  Fairly serious front-end damage to the fairing and headlight assembly.  I'm going to tackle the bodywork repairs myself.  Im new to the country (from Las Vegas) and have zero tools besides the stock toolkit on my bike.  Willing and excited to build out a proper toolkit to undertake this bike repair.  I have plenty of garage space (and wife content) to work with. 

Could someone advise me on the toolkit I should build out before I get started, to accomplish the overhaul of the complete front-end fairing/cowl and headlamp assembly? 
Happy to trade quality cheeseburgers for repair advice!

The first and most important is these. Proper JIS screwdrivers, not Phillips head ones. These are also impact drivers, so good for tight screws like the brake/clutch reservoir caps, or the air horns etc. in the air box should you need to remove that. I would recommend a #2 and a #3 point. I have bought these from this seller, so I can recommend them easily.

IMO most of what’s in a basic tool kit is adequate, apart from removal of various fairing pins.  There’s some door videos on YouTube for that task.

And then care and patience can be a friend.

A good quality metric socket set and assorted metric ring (& open end) spanners are probably a must if you have the budget.
Oh, and if I remember correctly, you'll need a 22mm socket for the front axle...

22mm or 21mm Rusty? A set of metric allen sockets is also useful for that job, or at least the 17mm one for the other end of the front axle.

Edit: I got off my lazy butt and went and checked. Rusty is correct, it is a 22mm.
