DVR Dash Camera

(1/1)

ST2UP:
Looking at options for bike mounted & powered Dash style DVR Cameras......many options out there for in car DVR Cameras, anyone played or can share their experences with Motorcycle friendly options ?? looking at an option for Bike & Car.....

Have a Contour2 ROAM that is great for video as required.......the option of forward and or rear facing DVR that goes live with the  ignition appeals for not only the safety and video evidence but the sudden roadside experience that you miss activating the Contour camera.

Have just ordered a $50 DVR 32Gb camera for a play in the work car after a incident at work  :think1

I'm guilty of being a bit slack here, as I did promise a review of a unit that I bought from China. Just haven't got around to working out what to do with the photos I took, so I've got a few days off to do a bit of work on the new ST, and one of those jobs will be re-attaching the cams and DVR to get it all working. I'll promise that I'll try and get it done over the next week or so. :CB--

I think this will probably be the sort of thing you're after.

Just as a preview, it seems to work as stated, but there are a few issues mainly around setup, and the fact that is nothing much you can do with the config of the thing unless you have a screen that you can run video, audioL and audioR to. That may or may not be an issue, but I think with a bit more fiddling, I'll be pretty happy with it. I didn't capture my stack as I think I had the shock sensor setting too high, as big potholes were setting the sensor off and making it copy in protected mode (that's in the event of a crash, it's supposed to go back 15 secs and save the recording in protected area until power is lost or something like that).....I'll leave that for now.
