We are going to Lunch at the Iconic and Motorcycle friendly Blackwood Hotel in Gold Rush Country, so come along and say Hello!

Sorry folks, another one we get to miss. A house full of guests last weekend so had to pass on Metung, 30th November we will be just about finished riding in the NZ South Island, home on the 1st December.
Attended the Horizons Unlimited weekend at Cavendish two weeks ago, some amazing stories, met up with 1 lapsed & 1 current Ozstocer there.

I may still be up for this, just depends on how things go in the next few weeks. If I do go it may be there and back in a day, as I have Triathlon support to do on the Sunday.  Who knows, once I wash the bike it make look quite different   :beer

Back home from Brisbane on Melbourne Cup day after 4496 k's in 6 days of actual riding.
What a good turn up at Metung and a lovely day for a ride. I am glad I stopped that night at Bombala, not Cooma that night. The dead kangaroos littering the road between Bombala and Cooma was an eye opener.
Even the next morning live ones were still hopping across the road.
On the way up I was warned off the Putty road due to the bushfires and the bottom end of Thunderbolts way was actually closed due to fires.
No probs on the way home though, both were open. I thought Thunderbolts way a little bland though.

Any space in those panniers or top box to bring any merchandise down from Toowoomba?  Might be able to save the effort of packaging and posting.

I don't think I will e coming as I have a triathlon support event the day after, so it might be cutting it fine to go down and back on Saturday, and be up by 7am Sunday to go to the triathlon.  I will still think about it though.....

Hi from Denis, Anyone wanting to meet up say Dandenog and or Keilor ride as group Di myself leaving Philip Island 830am would love to have company. Just sugest meeting place. Mates with HD not coming as unsure of weather. Yes Nigel im hungry and thirsty as have been on waggon with bloody flu or other nastie for weeks now but found cure {I hope} Denis Di.

I am out. After a few weeks of not riding I think a 1200kms day is a bit of an ask. I found 500kms testing me, so have to get some riding fitness in.

 Is 34 to much air to put in tyres of bike when riding two up,
Bike is all ready for wee trip tomoz, lookin forward to seeing you guys.

Normal pressures are at least 36psi front 42psi rear.  You can run a bit more front and rear when loaded or 2 up.  On the ST1300 many run 38 to 40 psi front and 42 to 45 psi rear.

I was just reading up on it from some other site, that's a bit of a shocker, as for years on other bikes and cars I always put 32 in them. Got tyres on the wife's car and they put 36 in them, and that's what made me think, so just to make sure, I thought I would ask the people that know,

Pub is at the red dot at point of arrow.

That patch of oil under the Mighty ST?  Checked it at Martin's driveway after an hour's ride and then another hour - no more oil.  Checked at home again - no oil.  Will still let Mr Honda know on Monday, and book it in for a professional check.  That's what warranties are for!

Well it has been an awesome weekend, but it is time for Diesel and Streak return home, we are boarding the jet plane back to Brisbane after an awesome drive in country Victoria!

Hi all,  thanks for your company.  It was a good ride over and the weather was great for travelling.   stinky Pete was able to impart some great knowledge about seat adjustment that made the trip even better.  We took in the great ocean road on the way back, no dramas at all except for the drivers who do not realise that they are the slow driver who need to pull over.  I will try and get together a ride report as this was my first long distance ride.  Traveling with a harley with a fuel range of 150km is great for rest stops but it is hard to find a harley rider who will travel without mechanical support!

Thanks guys it was a great day. Good country pub and friendly people.
Hadn't been to this area of Victoria for ages.
 I used to spend a fair amount of time horse riding in this area. Always good to put faces to names.
Thanks for the support over the last year. It has been great.
Have a great Christmas with family and enjoy the new year.
