Arrive mid arvo for overnighter. Its been a few years since we had an RTE here, but many good OzSToc friends were made here, and we even met an Ewok who could down whole eggs including shells :-)

We have a similar riding style, I think. We could buddy up and ride out together. I was thinking of heading over the mountains, Lithgow, Carcoar, etc, 387km for me. Then returning via the highway M31 on the Sunday 310Km.
I am flexible on your preference if we ride together.
I will call tomorrow to see if they have an overnight lock up for the beast as I'd hate to leave her out in the cold, poor baby.
If I go on my own, I'll take the Goldwing, If we buddy up, I'll take the 1100

Johnny, how about you, can you make it? Anyone else from Sydney? We could do a ........ "CONVOY"

Ruben I should be somewhere far FarRiding away juST taking the long way home from the Border Run, maybe via Perth>Darwin or PA & up the centre to Darwin then across to Mackay Qld. SO in all reality I truly dont think I will be able to attend this  RTE, and I'll have the flag with me on an adventure.  for pics at the Border Run..      I'll be out there 'living it'

Hi Guys,
Just booked my accommodation for a room with two singles in case someone wants to share. Beware, my wife says that I snore like a steam locomotive. A single room is $65 and a twin such as mine is $75.
Rebecca advised me that they have no bookings for that night yet which means that I hope I am not the only one to turn up there.
There is not lock up parking but Rebecca says that the boss may let us park on the drive way and that the town is really safe.
There is wifi from the hotel below for which we can get the password.
Shared bathroom and shower facilities for those that had not followed that up.

Bad and good News, 
Bad - Just confirmed that I have a serious issue with bad coolant hoses which is not the one as previously suspected but quite a few and the carbies will have to come out 
Good - I had ordered and received the full kit about 2 weeks ago 
Bad - won't have the time to fix and then ride the 1100 on Saturday 12th 
Good - I'll be riding the Goldwing instead so I will still be going 
Bad - I need to do emergency electrical work on the Goldwing to wire up the GPS at the very least, and perhaps add the heated grips and extra powerlets that I had not done yet. The GPS is the priority (farkling process has not yet commneced) 
Good - Accommodation is paid for 
Really Good - I woke up this morning, saw what a great day it was, and continued doing exam marking which is the main reason why I am so time poor

Natman and I are pulling out of this one. Personally, I took the day off to add power to the GPS, add powerlets and heated grips on the goldwing (too much work to do on the ST11 and need a few more parts) but the Goldwing is a nightmare  with all the tupperware and I don't want to break anything as she only has 5000Ks on her. I also don't know if I'll finish by Saturday morning so that's the main reason for pulling the plug.
