Thanks to Diesel & Streak for the many hours of unseen labour in running this well oiled machine. I would also like to say a big thanks to Saaz, Pockey, ST2UP, and I would also like to include Brock, in being wonderful people working in the 'wings' for some time now. I have only met the 2 Canetoads, but hope one day to meet you all.
Thanks a million.

Bugger............it's pretty much all been said, but here's my little bit from the Apple Isle..............thank you Diesel & Streak for the fantastic job you've both done in getting this club up and running, it wouldn't have been an easy job, thanks also to your lovely ladies for putting up with the many hours you both would have put into the club since it's inception. With the new team coming in I'm sure the club's going to be in very good hands, I doubt we could have three better members holding the reins, congratulations Saaz, Pockey & ST2UP............you guys have big shoes to fill!  Because of my commitments here at home it's not possible for me to attend our annual get together on the mainland so I don't get to meet up personally with our many members, but I've had the pleasure of the company of Diesel and Marianne here in Tassie and I feel I know many other members through the website, our website, set up and run by two very dedicated, hard working members.

Good on ya Diesel and Streak, you've really put this club in a great place! You guys are legends! :hatwave

It has been said so well by the people that have posted here so I'll just say I know it has been an awesome effort Streak and Diesel have put in to the club over the years, it has taken a massive amount of their time to get the club to where it is now and I would like to say thankyou and I hope you enjoy your much deserved rest. :-++ :-++ :-++ :-++ :-++

I wish the new heads, Saaz, Pockey and ST2UP all the best for the future, I'm certain they will do awesome job of moving the club into the future, good luck guys :thumbsup

Maybe he's given that job to Teela so he can ride the white ST13 without interruption when he's not at work.

WHY WASN'T I TOLD???????????????????????????????????????????/

Seriously though guys, Who'd have thunk it ? Just a few short years ago a few of us read a US post that asked if there were any ST riders in Australia who would be interested in forming an OZ owners club.

I for one thought that there might be 20 or 30 replies and it would be fantastic if we got that many. What happened? We breed like rabbits.

To Diesel & Streak (and your respective partners), a heart felt thanks. The vision and passion you brought to this site are second to none.

A couple of quotes from Sir Winston Churchill come to mind:-

"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

"Never in the field of .................. was so much owed by so many to so few."

To Saaz, ST2UP, and Pockey, one for you:-

"One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!"

Good luck to you all, and thank you.

Yes this weekend marks the official end to the Streak and Diesel Reign of Terror of OzSTOC!

Saaz, ST2UP and Pockey are coming north to pick up all the stuff we have, sit down with us to make sure we have the bases covered, take home the golden microphone, and the Rolls Royce, and then finally the Keys to OzSTOC (which are large and heavy and is very hard to lose).

Well done to Diesel and Streak for giving nearly three years of your lives to getting OzSTOC off the ground and flying well.  :clap :clap
Now that you will have lots of time on your hands, your wives will now be able to hand back the household jobs again, such as mowing  lawns, chopping wood and cleaning gutters.
See ya on the road.......

ST2UP, Pockey and Saaz also deserve our thanks and support for picking up the leadership of OzSTOC.    :thumb

Well after many hours of negotiating, discussing and trading of strange bottles of drinks, bribing with food, it is official, the hand over is complete!

although this morning required even more food to make sure the incoming team remembered the contracts they signed at 2am this morning!

i am sure the others will fill you in.....on the 3 little pigs....

i am going back to bed, as all the hard work around the table sealing the deal has made my head hurt, and for some reason a little tired  :rofl

Photo one.  Two bottles down (exculding Diesel's rums), everyone, especially Pockey, looking very dazed and depressed about the enormity of it all.

Photo two.  Five bottles down.  Everyone much happier about life and the universe.

Congratulations on overcoming resistance with lubrication, Diesel and Streak!    :beer

To all the many friends I have made through this wonderful Club, I say a heartfelt thank you. Or rather, thanks for being you.      :KissBlow

You have made it easy to  go out of my way to organise RTEs and other get togethers because of the quality of people OzSTOC proudly calls Members. Time and time again you've showed your willingness to help others at the drop of a hat, offer your own time to help find parts of crucial pieces of info for someone else, added quality posts and threads for the benefit of others, and above all else - been a great bloke (or sheila) too.     :beer

No-one could have foreseen the success that would have come from the very first RTE. It has surpassed even the wildest expectations. Any 'hard work' has most certainly been worth it when you see friendly faces from all around the country whom share the same passion as everyone else, join up to ride together to lunch or on holidays. It is mind blowing to see us all in our OzSTOC gear 'living the dream' somewhere with mates.

OzSTOC is in the top ten biggest Forums in this country for a single make motorcycling website. We are certainly the envy of many others with our electric and 'always interesting' atmosphere, and our '# online today' figures are only dreamt of by most. Not to even mention all the OzSTOC range of products designed mostly by you.    :thumbs

We have also formed many fantastic relationships with reliable and friendly businesses in our respective communities whom have shown willingness and insight to form commerce alliances with our Club and Members.    ++

The ride has been a superb one, and the new leaders are inviting Streak and I to remain close at hand for now, and I have every confidence in their abilities and vision to propel OzSTOC into the next successful era under their care.     :thumb

Thanks to all for your kind comments and warm sentiment. It has been a pleasure beyond imagination thus far.

Now, to sit back and enjoy the spoils of your friendship and comradery and look forward to the next gathering of mates.      ;-*

Thanks again.

Cheers, Diesel

Goodonya Diesel.

I would hope youse two will be doing more than sitting back like pensioned retirees!
I know Streak is in the centre of the Toowoomba Annual Run.
I'm pretty sure you'll be initiating rides hither and yon, Diesel.
So don't go trading STella on a Beemer or Massey Davidson just yet.    :-(((
