Greetings!  It's good to be on the board!  I helped with the design and marketing of PSR ST highway blades.  Please feel free to contact me for any questions.

Thanks!

Charlie

Just received my blades today.  These look really well thought out and also really well made.

They even have spring-loaded ball-bearing do-hickies to allow the blade to click into place at full retraction and full extension, a bit like on the OEM pillion pegs.

It's a shame they cause cancer.  www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.  Although we are probably safe since we don't live in California  :grin

I'll report back once I've installed them. Will try to get it done before this weekend's Esk RTE.

Has anyone mounted these on their 1300?   I'm have the devil's own time trying to attach the blade to the bracket.  It's the spring and ball-bearing bit that is causing me grief.  Can't seem to compress the spring enough to allow the flat surfaces of the bracket and blade to meet properly.

A2Z has them on his 1300.  Send him a PM or contact socalst8, who put up a post on this thread on the 29th January.   :thumb

Thanks all. Charlie responded that it should go together just fine with the spring and ball bearing although one could also choose to leave them out.  A2Z said that he grumbled a lot and then gave them to his mechanic who also grumbled a lot, but eventually got them fitted with the ball bearings.

So I’ll have another go  8)

So I had another go at these today. Easy as pie. At the risk of sounding stupid, but for the benefit of any others like me ..... the grease is not an optional extra.  Plus, a good dollop of grease on the spring and ball bearing stops the little sucker from bouncing all over the garage floor.

Only negative comment so far is I reckon I’ll be up to Bunnings for some star washers. With the supplied flat washers the nut wants to come loose with the opening and locking of the blades.

We are heading to Gladstone this week so I’ll get to try them out.

Maybe nylock nuts would be better

The supplied Nylock nuts would probably work fine ..... except I’ve probably gotten grease all over them  :fp

I’ll have a lookie in the morning. Maybe that’s one more on my long list of reasons I’m not a mechanic.
