Bike-Quip New Owner Intro
« on: January 25, 2018, 09:04:04 AM »
Hi Gang  :hatwave, my name is Steve Bielby and I am the new owner of Bike-Quip having bought it from Keith Munro at the beginning of Jan.

I am in the process of getting a new website sorted. All the original stock is back and available except the rear panels which were withdrawn due to manufacturing inconsistencies which were never resolved. I do intend to try and resurrect these in the future and to look at developing some other products too, so keep your eyes on the site.

I've been riding continuously since I was 14 (BSA Gold Star) and I currently have a '96 VFR 750 FT with almost 100,00 miles (160,000 klicks) a '98 Fazer 600 and my 2010 model Pan 1300 I have owned for a year.  Considering I was in the Royal Navy (Chief Clearance Diver) for over 33 years (74-07) then five years commercial diver offshore, I did manage to do a fair bit of riding too.

I don't intend doing business directly via forums but will check in now and then. The website should be launched in the next two weeks but in the meantime if you have any bike-quip products fitted to your bike and you would like to 'star' in the new website, then please send a jpg image of 800x800 pixels (min) showing off those products to stevie.bielby@gmail.com

Cheers guys and gals, keep the rubber on the road and shiny side up!

Hi Steve,
Welcome to OzSTOC.  Great to know that you that you taken over the reigns of Bike Quip.
Bike Quip certainly has a big following here. Also good to hear that you will be looking into resolving problems with the side panels, they certainly look great.

As a mechanical engineer working in the the oil and gas industry on Australia's North West Self I spent many a day rocking and rolling on a boat with a bunch of commercial divers, a lot ex navy. I imagine under slightly different water temperatures and sea state to you and never any sat work.

Look forward to the new website. You may like to post up here when it is up and running.

Hi Steve and welcome to OzSTOC from SA.   :hatwave
Many OzSTOC members are users of the great BikeQuip products, so it's pleasing to see that BikeQuip now has future.   Best Wishes for your new business venture, and I'm keen to have a  browse of the resurrected web site.    The VFR750 was one of the few great and true sports tourers.  My son had one and traded it for the VFR800, but I reckon the 750 was the superior bike.
