Interesting article. Looks like my shoei helmet with DOT certification, purchased from the USA might stand up in court when I am busted for riding without a lid... Because it's all too confusing...

Just maybe one of these years, the legislators will realise that Australia is ONE country...how hard is it

Does that mean that the same helmet that is avail in Aust, but can be bought overseas will comply even though there is no Aust 'label' ?? 

I think it probably would as it appears the laws are too complicated for anyone to understand... Who would try and argue against something when there isn't any clarity?
