Ways to Lower 02 ST1300
« on: October 18, 2014, 08:59:26 AM »
For anyone that may not know we have bought Wildrose's old bike.
Being on the shorter side I think I would have better control of the bike if I could sit closer to the ground. Feels a bit top heavy at times. Any suggestions and if a change of seat is the answer, is there anyone out there that is on the taller side and may wish to swap a seat.

Whew,

For a moment I thought you wanted to lower the bike, dont even think of going there.

You can put your seat on its lowest setting, I believe it takes a bit of effort. You can also take your seat to a local motor trimmer who can adjust the padding to suit your height and improve comfort.

There are also several threads on specialist businesses who do quality rebuild of your seat to how you want it.

Gerard like Brock said make sure the seat on the lowest setting,
The seat on your '02 is lower than the seat on my new one
I thought it may have been lowered already at some time,
you may need to check with others their seat hight to make sure

Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe it may be easier to get longer legs.

Funny you should say that.  There's a doctor in Russia who does bone grafts to lengthen legs.
Fair dinkum!
