I'll be bringing a mate, Ross Pearson, on his Kawasaki 1400. Ross has been around Australia five times and has a photographic memory of places he's been to and roads he's ridden. Incidentally, his bike has over 400,000 k's on it.

Well after spending yesterday arvo in my oven . . Err garage . . Around 43c in there late afternoon! trying to get my bike ready for today . . Had a couple of things to do this morning to get away . . . I have decided, with the temp here already over 32c, not to go for a HOT pie at Wentworth Falls . . . I know, I’m a whimp, but a very hot, completly knackered whimp! I can’t operate well in this heat any more.
So sorry guys, have a good ride, hopefully a litte cooler in your neck of the woods.

Here at mountain pies with A2Z, Just Peter and Ross.
Ruben had to pull out at Picton because of battery issues. We gave him a push and he clutched it and headed home. No sign of Christ1300pher as yet.

Managed to make it to Mountain Pies and the welcome was warm from the fellows there, and it was a warm ride reaching 40C on the way home. Thanks for the company, I'll be looking out for more RTEs.
Cheers

Yep, had a good meet, albeit small in number, but got to meet A2Z Allen, and ChriST1300pher, Chris, together with johnnyYTED and my companion Ross.
Extremely hot day to ride, so you were wise not to come Terry. Temps going home went as high as 43 at the bottom of Lapstone to Wallgrove. Not comfy but a good ride with good company.
Looooovvvvve air con.

Johnny and I went home via the Old Bells Line Rd and boy did it get hot. It was mostly up in the mid 40's until halfway between Richmond and Penrith when we decided to seek some relief at a shady part of the road. I couldn't even drink the water I had in my top box...too bloody hot. By the time we got back on our bikes again, Johnny's outside temp gauge was flashing 50. That called for a second stop at Macca's in Penrith for some refreshing milk shakes. After Penrith, the temp started dropping steadily until about 10-15 kms from Picton when we were cooled right down by rain. Johnny and I parted ways in Picton, and by the time I got back to the Gong, there was fog, rain and a most welcome 19 degrees.
Yet, all in all, it was still a damn good day out.

YEP it got bloody hot on the way home, as A2Z Al said. we stopped on Castlereagh Rd and when we were ready to go my temp was FLASHING 50, WOW! but I understand without airflow the heat off the radiator and engine would be the cause of the high heat. As we got closer to Picton and the temp started dropping I started getting cramps, DEHYDRATION .. as soon as I got home I started replacing electrolytes..
STrangler clocked 125000 on the way there at Mulgoa..
No FLAG pic but heres a few I took.
Thanks guys for a hot day out and a pie.
