ST1100 side panels
« on: October 02, 2013, 08:32:06 PM »
OK ST1100 Brains Trust...This is a dumb question and I assure you I'm not blond. Will the side panels (the plastic that runs along the side under the seat) from a '92 fit on later models, I've seen a couple of red ones pretty cheap on ebay in good nick. If they'll fit I might condsider buying them. The reason I ask is they have a small grey piece on the side compared to the long grey piece on later models.

Should do I think, I havent tried. Have a look at one of the online catalogues, and check the various years for differing part numbers. Tho they probably will vary due to differing colours

The plastic is the same only the grey trim is different which is a separate part which can be removed and replaced.

If you check your gold one you'll find how the grey part is secured on the side panel. Those holes etc will need to be added to the red one in the same size etc.
