RHS mirror housing to suit 2002 ST1100PY?
« on: November 04, 2012, 07:46:16 PM »
Day 2...
Following a 15 year break from riding I'm getting back in touch with riding skills...

On day 2 I was reminded to warm my bike up before i took off...
Surfice to say, trying to take off and round a corner while the choke is on full results in a stall. A lesson I now have under my belt and feel no need to repeat that one.
Oh, I also got first hand experience about just how heavy the ST1100 really is!

Two helpful bystanders came to my rescue, only damage was a cracked mirror housing. Some duct tape later and a bruised ego I was very thankful for the reminder I have a lot of catching up to do.

Can someone shoot me a link so I can buy a new mirror housing?
Could not find a white one on the David Silvers site...a typical man look? Possibly, would appreciate the help.

Thanks.

George.

My left one was broken and I used aryldyte.. It has held together now since our first rally.
a sand back fill with filler sand / undercoat/ sand/ paint,,,,
I get my spray cans filled with correct white. and job done, well after a couple coats of clear lacquer.

Now we can all start telling you how much nicer you look without the beard.

Or is that your father in the avatar?    :grin
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

That was taken a good number of years back during St Patricks day celebrations, not long after that came the long hair.
Both came off as a surprise to my wife one anniversary.

Thanks for noticing  :grin
