Yes Biggles, Gadget was referring to a 3 wheeled abomination.
He also knows i hate them with a passion  :grin

I thought Gadget was referring to his next STeed, not yours STimp?
A little from column A and a little from column B. :stirpot :grin

Knowing you love affair with VDubs, that suggests one of those trikey thingeys with a blatting engine.     :-(((

You're gonna need to find a new club...    :whistle

More likely this one around retirement time, or the latest model.

Both bad news :'( and good news mate :thumbsup

But I'm sure (now that you are keeping Big Blue) that you'll have a great time continuing riding around (even if only short distances)  :thumb
And one of these days the docs may even fix you up to the point that you can ride without pain :runyay

I have received 2 inquiries this morning - 1 of which has organised a test ride on sunday, the other a possible inspection after travelling from the sunshine coast mid next week.
As i had already organised an oil/filter and pad change over tuesday/wednesday i also obtained a Roadworthy today while it was there picking her up.
It remains to be seen if anyone will actually turn up &/or buy the thing.

I have no resolution to the now 4 or possibly 5 upper body injuries
(the C spine is contentious)

I may get a payout by the time Tassie rolls around or i may still be biding my time at the insurance/employers leisure. Everything is an unknown factor.
On the positive side i am walking around 10 kms a day at work. As for riding i'm good for about 45 mins with the aid of cruise. Not ideal.
If it comes to it i may well fly down for a few days and catch up in a hire car  :grin

No Joy after 3 enquiries over Jan 31/Feb 1st.
The inspection/test ride was cancelled sunday morning after he test rode a 13 at a dealership. Too heavy and unmaneuverable apparently.

After exchanging messages from someone in N.S.W asking dumb questions about the bike (the ad is VERY detailed)insulting the price and then informing me he was going to test ride other bikes around sydney then get back to me.
I informed him i would not sell it to him. :cuss wit

If it does not sell by the time the roadworthy time/kilometers are up then i will keep her.

I dont underSTand that! I find the ST1300 feels light and nimble, and I find it very manouverable. Maybe Jackson should teST ride an 1100 so he can see the difference. On his FB profile he has dirt bike pics maybe he hasnt ridden a roadbike before.

It could also be that the Dealership's bike had under inflated tyres?
(I have had work done at dealerships and when I got the bike back found the tyres between 36 to 38 psi :eek)

Same here, but worse.  I recall first stop when test riding the Mighty CB1300 (back in 2008), was the servo in Whittlesea township where I upped the pressures from around 20psi to the recommended 38 / 42 (from memory).

Mmmmmm ............. much better.

I bought my ST1300 brand new in 2009 and had never owned or ridden a bike of that size and weight.   The dealer delivered it to me with 20 psi in the tyres.  :eek   I suspect that this was the pressure from when the bike was delivered to them in the crate, and the pre-delivery check before I took it was done by a muppet, if it was done at all.    It handled like shit, wallowed and had a tendancy to wash out the front in the corners.    Once the pressure was corrected, it went like it was on rails.

This morning i waved Big blue goodbye  >:()
The STeed has been sold to Craig from Toowoomba who should be joining the forum in due course meaning we will still get to see big blue at RTE's and National Rallies  :runyay

Recent developments in my injury claim will more than likely set in motion the involvement of professionals to sort out some liability aspects recently denied by the insurance company. Suffice to say no surgery will be done in the foreseeable future.

I am soon to be hurtled out the workplace door for "redeployment" quickly followed by an enormous shitfight  :fp

Craig has most certainly had his fair share of STruggles lately so i am very glad that he will be getting better and enjoying life more with a little help from Big Blue.
I could not be happier as a reluctant seller knowing that it could not have gone to a nicer  more deserving purchaser.
