Well I’ve got the feeling again and gone ahead with a test ride on the 2020 demo. Consequently I now have my name down on a 6 to 8 week delivery of a 2021

Where did you go for the test ride?
Did you get a decent ride?
How long did they let you have it?
Did they let you go on your own?

Ahh, there was a time when I thought there would be a Goldwing in my garage.  But alas, probably not anymore as I don't think I would be able to manage manoeuvring it in the garage, I'm already having problems with the ST1300.

I don't know your garage arrangement and I am not sure about the new model but the reverse gear on pre 2018 models works well and this replacement centre stand makes putting them on the centre stand child play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8Fm0DZ0K10&t=9s

Yeah, for some time I've thought of a Spyder may be a possibility, for when I get old.  But, I'm not old as yet, or am I?  Maybe not in years, but the body certainly feels it at present.  Perhaps when I get over some current ailments, I feel different.

I have a decent size garage, around 7.0m x 8.3m, just too many things in it.   When I need to do any jobs that need a bit of space, I need to move things around or out, and this often means the ST.

Interesting comments about availability and 2021 changes re GL1800. Also interesting about the tie down points.

That's a feature of their trike conversion, along with highway pegs.  They might sell the add-ons to customisers.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Crazy times we live in, especially when it comes to buying new vehicles... :fp

Speaking of Honda...the way Honda are these days with their fixed prices etc and declining sales I won't be surprised if they end up pulling up stumps from Australia...  :think1

Yeah, speaking of Honda ... one of the (brief) options looked at for Helen's new car was the CRV - nice, a bit dated (in some aspects), expensive, deleted from the options list.  Anyways, when speaking with the sales persons, a he and she tag-team, said that the prices were not fixed, but a more appropriate term was set and this was by Honda Australia, the old dealer network was an outdated marketing format, and what we new as dealers were basically sales outlets for Honda Australia, no point in shopping around for a better price, by having a set price they have saved me all of that time and effort.

I said a polite (?) goodbye.

A smart alec retort, the prices aren't fixed, you can pay more if you want to.  No wonder Honda's sale and market share has plummeted.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

Probably a good move, Michael!
While I do believe their vehicles are still okay, upping the price enormously and then "fixing" the price so you can't shop around sounds like madness and I guess recent sales figures confirm that!  :||||

They also shafted some of their ex dealers by telling customers wanting their cars serviced that the dealers had shut down etc...
https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/honda-in-court-for-allegedly-misleading-consumers-about-dealership-closures

I "love" their price promise...seriously, do they really think people will experience "joy" when they pay more???  :rofl
