Post by: zevk on March 04, 2013, 07:41:12 PM
Hi all,

Wanting to Synch the throttle bodies of my 2005 ST1300.
Would anyone have a Morgan Carbtune Pro to lend out? I would be happy to pay return postage and a lending fee.

thanks,

Zev

You don't have the need to. It's an EFI.
That's what so great about the 1300.

Hi Malcom, Despite EFi it still requires periodic throttle (starter valves) sync for smooth operation.

I have a carbtune (4 tubes with all the adaptors), so unless someone closer can help we can organise something. I was just in Melbourne all last week so might have made it real easy!

symptoms:
rough idle
poor start up
exessive heat
(all of which I dont have)
as well as poor fuel consumption (which I do have... 13 km p/litr in city and best 21 km p/litre highway, but then some say this is normal for ST1300)

regards

There have also been reports of the vacuum hoses that go into the throttle bodies getting some gunk in the hoses, and blocking off proper operation of the starter valves. Seems like there is a low point in the tubes that may lead to residue buildup.
