Title: contacting members

Winston 66 here,
I have been trying to send a PM to member Big Ted but the PM. keeps being denied and I get the message that the member Big Ted can not be found.
What am I doing wrong , or is there a problem with our member list , or is there something wrong with the procedure.

Dunno. It's never been a problem on my end.

Are you using the Web or tapatalk?

The first time I tried it on the Web site I got the same message.

On the Web you start typing the name (Big) in the 'To' box
and then when a tool tip box puts up,

Click on 'Big Ted' in that popup and then it will have Big Ted under the 'To' box with a check box to the right.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Am trying it as per the web and forum set up , but as I have said after several attempts as per your suggestions the forum reply states that the member Big Ted can not be found.
Therefore It (the forum) does seem to have a glitch as far as my skills seem to be concernerd.

Try it again without a space between Big and Ted.
So it looks like this "BigTed"

Worked ok for me...

Maybe get BigTed to send you one which you can reply to. Is is just BigTed you're having problems with?

Under Big Teds name, ( and yours, or anyone elses) is an envelope, and a speech bubble. To sent a PM click on the speech bubble and it will automatically be addressed to BigTed

Hi Brock,
In the members list for BigTed , I do not have either a n envelope signifing an email capability or speech bubble.
Am I missing something? please advise.

You dont need to go to the members list Winston. On the page of posts where you an see the member who posted  (on the left hand side) and other information. At the bottom you should see  an envelope symbol (http://ozstoc.com/Themes/Dave/images/email_sm.gif) and a speech bubble  (http://ozstoc.com/Themes/Dave/images/im_on.gif). Click on the envelope to email the posting member, or the bubble to send an instant message.

If you look at my info in this post (on the left colum) you should see them below my picture, and the comment "White is best"

I did not think to try that , originally I could not find Big Ted's post that I wanted to reply to so I just went into the members list and then all my troubles started, as the message option in the list said that it could not find that member.
I will follow your suggestions in future , You are the man.
