This how to is covering the install of a Fender Extender on my new ST1300
Since I now have a new ST I decided that I should get a Fender Extender
I looked around for a while and found that most aren't very long
so I ended up buying the "Stuff STopper Fender Extender"
The Stuff STopper is made by Blue One (Larry) from st-owners.com and is sold for $70 USD (including shipping)
If anyone is interested in getting one, Larry can be contacted through st-owners.com or via email: toewsone@yahoo.ca
(I don't get any kickbacks from Larry I'm just letting everyone know of a great item )Anyway I ordered the Stuff STopper and after it arrived I eventually got around to doing the install
First remove the fender/mudguard
Sand back the under side of the fender where the Stuff STopper will sit.
Apply glue to the stepped down section of the Stuff STopper, clamp it onto the the fender and leave it to dry over night.
The next day apply silicone to the end of the Stuff Stopper (on the under side of the fender). This will stop water and road grime getting in between the Stuff STopper and the fender.
Once it is dry reattach the fender to the bike (Make sure when doing up the bolts that the fender extender is spaced evenly on each side)
And finally, go for a ride
Cheers
