Harieg, this isn't like a Ulysses AGM, you don't pay any "Rego", just book you sleeping space, and let us know you're coming.
Bikes being shown? Yours, mine, and everyone else's :thumbsup
Where's it being held besides Blackheath? Now that's a hard one  :think1

my bike wont be on show
it will still be in Newcastle with is current owner

Formal, ?????

Where can you hang a Suit on an ST. As far as I an concerned, formal is the cleanest Jeans and OzSToc shirt that you have with you at the time. Oh, and give the boots a wipe over. I suppose sneaker will do tho...

Dinner is going to be formally informal, so jeans shirt and shoes is just fine.

atlernate route from QLD and North rivers
when I go to the sydney, blue mountains i usually go Lismore, tenterfield, glen innes lunch at either on the tablelands, down to grafton then back up to armidale through ebor for the night, get to armidale about 5. next day down the oxley to wauchope, onto taree, gloucester across to mailalnd then west to get onto the putty.
getting to blackheath it might bo easier to go armidale, singleton, putty, colo, then the shortcut to the bells road, up to mt. victoria and back down the blackheath, arrive in plenty of time to book in and a few pre dinner drinks.
only boring bit would be armidale to singleton.

just a few thoughts and ways i usually go to avoid the dreaded pacific and a good bit of the new england

Thanks for those comments, so I take it as being at the local pub.  Still, some of us like to dress up a bit more than others.  Will there be a dance floor???

Our travel plans involve leaving Brissie early on thursday the 12th, out to Warwick and down the New England Hwy.  I hope to get to Scone for the evening.  Now that may sound boring but anything north of Armidale is a weekend trip for me so I want to get south.

Friday gets nicer with a trip through the Bylong Valley, Rhylstone and onto Bathurst, then down through Oberon and onto Lithgow.

Our trip home will see us on the Bells Rd, Putty Rd and Thunderbolts Way on Sunday.  I'll decide when we get to Walcha whether we go down to Port Macquarie or onto Armidale for the night.  If its Armidale then we do the Waterfall way the next day.

Anyone who likes the sound of this is welcome to get in touch.

Hi Dave,
The trip down sounds great and I think Laurie will be open to going that way too?

I will give you a call before then and have a chat about Laurie and I meeting up with you on Thursday morning in Tenterfield. We'll be leaving from Laurie's place at Lismore Thursday morning. So all I really need is an approximate time you expect to hit Tenterfield, and we can work out what time we need to leave Lismore.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers

Hi Barry
Iam ok with those plans. From my place to Scone is 586 ks, so we would need to be able to meet dave at tenterfield resonably early on Thurs morning. My place to Tenterfield is about 2 and a half hours,Tenterfield to scone is 430ks,and scone to Blackheath via Oberon is 386ks.
My home number is 02 66 282716. Be sure to speak with a strong Aussie voice, I hang up on anyone with an odd sounding accent >:(

And if you guys get there before me (I may still be doing laps of Mt Panorama until late  :-++) just ask for the cabin keys (Barry knows my secret name   :cuss)

There is a world record Ozstoc shirts on Mt Panorama to be claimed here   :think1

Great idea Saaz, would you be up there before lunch.

Good to hear from you Laurie and Barry,  if we leave at 5am I hope to be at Warwick about 7am for breakfast.
Tenterfield is probably about 9am.

Barry, I lost my phone and all my contacts last week, could you send me a text so I can save it again please.

I will aim to be in Bathurst at whatever time others are getting there - maybe a bit before.  I will just leave earlier as I want to go the more interesting longer way - Canberra-Gundaroo-Gunning-Crookwell-Taralga-Bathurst

We might not be able to attend this year as much as we'd like to. Plans are on hold, not cancelled as it depends on my dad.

Looks like he's going to Perth ((to vist my sis) yeah!! I'm related to a sandgroper........lol) in May and he is deciding to go by car or train and he put forward the suggestion that we should go in ours. I'm hoping he goes by train 'cause it's only $380-440 return for him as opposed tp $1100 return for the car.

Up dating this to say dad looks like taking his own car, no doubt his last driving trip across to WA.

But as for us attending.

So far we cannot find a dog sitter which would mean only myself attending and Heather staying home.

But his may cause us to cancel the trip completely:-

Heather's sister is having medical issues which so far means a trip to Whyalla on the 10th April

So it's all down to last minute for that final decision as to go or not.

I advised streak a few days ago that we would not be attending though we would like to.

It's only right that we should be there with Heather's sister for support so it's a run to Whyalla Hospital for us on the 11th April.

Found out the other day that there is no longer a need to rush back to Brisbane on the Sunday after the Rally as first thought. So it's maps out again to find a nice route home.  :thumbs

Evenin' All...

Anyone happen to be in a cabin that has a spare bunk they're willing to spare?

Oh, and contrary to the list I'm a Mexican and alas entering the 'Winterfell' phase of the year were warm sunshine becomes all but a memory for a few months.:(

Cheers the can :)

Arvo Mitch...

Ta muchly and most appreciative for that :thumbs

As for what day and route I'll be taking, this is a work in progress as haven't the fainest idea of either at present. All I can say is that plan 'A' is to get to Black heath Friday arvo / evening.

Presently I have few things on my plate that I have to deal with in the next week...so looking forward to meeting you up (or in your case), across there :wink1

Thanks again,

Cheers Dick :)

Hi All, Not long to go now. Not that it is critical but on the circulated list of those attending my email address and state of residence were both wrong. My correct details are email: jwsmb@activ8.net.au and the state is NSW. At present I am booked for a campsite however I would hapily move into a cabin if there is a spare bunk.
