That's the only word I can think of to describe our ride today
.
Six of us departed Nubeena this morning at 8.30am, hit Sorell around 9.45, fuelled up and headed out through Campania, Tea Tree, Pontville, then up the Midland Highway to Ross. After a quick stop we headed off to Campbelltown where we had lunch
in the local park before taking the Lake Leake Road to Swansea. This road (approx 75kls) is said to be one of, if not the best, motorcycle touring roads in Tassie. After passing through Swansea we began heading south towards home. I can't begin to describe the colour of the water along the eastern coast. The road twists and winds for quite a distance along the coast with magnificient views over the water. We made a coffee stop at Orford before heading off to Sorell where we fueled up again before our final leg home to Nubeena, arriving home about 5.30pm. We had fantastic weather all day, clear skies and sunny with just a little wind. All up we travelled just under 500kls for the day.
I had given Kev (Patriot Blue) a call but unfortunately his bike was undergoing some minor repairs and was unable to make it................never mind mate, there's always another day! Can't guarantee it'll be as good as this one though
