Power Pick up
« on: June 30, 2014, 07:18:10 PM »
Hi All,

After an humiliating moment where I had to be push started by some of my Harley mates after leaving my heated hand grips on and flattening the battery I have finally put a relay in.

The only thing is despite sticking  my probe anywhere it will fit I can't find a wire that comes live when the ignition is turned on to switch the relay. I would like one near the battery but failing that anywhere on the bike would do.

Any suggestions Tech heads?

Easy.

Use the quartet harness to supply all sorts of power options. There is a 9pin socket on the left side low down, in a plastic shield. Probaly full of dielectric grease.

Well there you go I only looked on the right hand side of the bike.  Will I have to remove plastic to get to it?
