no
what i meant was we turn up at his house
stay just long enough to annoy him then we all bolt
-
AAAHHH! the light bulb comes on over my head! now I understand!
-
Just be careful fellas - Tipsy is likely to have the barbie cooking and the beer running - it could be weeks before we get out of there! :eek :-++ :-++ :-++
Thanks to all for your kind words - you ALL helped make it a fantastic weekend. :thumbs
Now - how to top this one at Victor Harbour??? :think1
-
So we need to know when???
-
Now - how to top this one at Victor Harbour??? :think1
The ride alone will top Blackheath for us Queenslanders. Going to be a bit harder to impress the South Ozzies and Victorians.
Apart from that, I've never been to Victor Harbour, so there's another first. Might be a few more riders like me.
So with the great ride they're cooking up for us down there we're well on the way to another winner. :runyay
-
At Biggles & Diesel
Victor Harbor is the correct spelling which is spelt the American way. There's more to it but I'll put the Wiki link in for those interested.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Harbor,_South_Australia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Harbor,_South_Australia)
There's a few good bike roads in the hills South of Adelaide but most of them are down to 80kph these days which is annoying when you used ride/drive them at 110kph without incedent.

Shoot Diesel- we're in the gun! Who would have thought the South Ozzies would be so perverse as to misspell their own town!?
BTW, I think you meant "incident". :grin
-
Anyhoo, apart from that, it looks like an interesting little bit of Oz to go check out, according to Wikipedia.
-
BTW, I think you meant "incident". :grin
That's how I spelt it first but :think1 it didn't look right but it is what I meant.

bringing the post back to Tipys,
my idea is the north siders meet at caltex carseldine at say 9:00, ride down beckett road , kelvin grove road across to the story bridge, wynum road to whites road, into alex hills then down to vicky point and Tipsu's.
drink all his coffee, eat all his biscuits annoy him cause he cant ride, then continue down to koala park to carbrook tanah merah hit the motor way and then head back up over the gateway to carseldine.
BUT feedback IS required, other groups can meet up along the way
and of course we will probably have to ask Tipsy, IF he wants us there, our bubbling conversation about all things ST and our SPARKLING Wit

That sounds great to me Harie. I think Tipsy will be scrambling for his camera to snap 5-10 STs in his driveway!!!! :crackup
Now - for the official name.... since we've had "Drinksy with Jinxy"... how about we call this one..... wait for it........ "Tripsy for Tipsy".... right - I'm off now to GET A LIFE! :fp :rofl :rofl :rofl
-
Shouldnt matter if he wants you there or not. Just turn up :popcorn :popcorn

OK, so is anyone from the West going to this little uninvited shindig?, and when are we planning on doing the home invasion?

I would go, but I have no money or leave left for some reason.

Tipsy is staying very quiet about all this. Maybe someone should ring him to check he's not going into hiding just because we're coming to take photos of Diesel massaging the offending knees :eek
-
come on all you posters SOME FEED BACK needed here,
WHAT date day suits
I WILL make myself ok for ANY day
-

I have spoken to Streak - and OzSTOC is putting up $50 towards the cost of the above items - although I fear the 'fast' women will be VERY FAST for this amount! :rofl :rofl :rofl
I recommend that maybe each of us could bring a packet of:
Peanuts or soft drink or potato chips or other nibblies.
I will bring paper plates and eating weaponry.
Cheers, Diesel
EDIT: I have also spoken to Tipsy, and he says he can cater for 5 to 10 STs parking wise - no probs
-
NOW that's is the positive type of response we need Good one all
I'll bring the coffee and biscuits
PS i NEVER drink beer LOL

:think1 :think1 :think1
We have a saying at work “If it’s not on camera it didn’t happen” :eek :rofl
So Harie where’s the pics of the golden ST? :grin we are all keen to see it :thumb
-
I heard a rumour that Harie (that's 1 R and no Y) actually brought a BMW :thumb
(or was it I started a rumour?) :rofl
-
I think the Esk bakery would be a very long haul considering the detour to Vicky Point, and most of it would be on boring freeway, quick but mind-numbing!. Maybe we save the Esk bakery for another day? Harie, did you say you were intending coming across the Story Bridge, i.e. riding through the City? I don't care just trying to think where we can meet up.
Cheers

I would need to work out a mod to fit those dirt drag spoon tyres, and then I could go direct line. Dont think I could do there n back in 6 days but. I think the boss might notice my absence and doc me pay. Might just have to give this one a miss
-
Saturday 12th locked in for Diesels next trek isn't it? Mothers Day, Sunday 13th.
Tipsy. You've gone awfully quiet?
-
Would have helped if I went to page 2 before putting my finger to the keys. My Bad. Will try to be part of this one.
-
Can't do this one- had a booking for a Mundubbera overnighter 19th/20th May in my diary since January. :(

ok Shiney Marcus and ET AL
the trip report is ALMOST done
cant add pics
so have asked for help
no help received YET
also
so many GREAT ride reports coming in from the "FIRST OzSTOC NATIONAL RALLY",
i didn't want to add my hapeny's worth, and it may have got lost in the forest,
but when i can add pics the post WILL go up
-
This is starting to sound a bit like the story of the Golden Rivet!
Harie, if the pics are less than 192Kb (which they probably are not), then simply attach them using the "Attach" box below. Otherwise get yourself a Photobucket account (it's free and simple to set up), upload your pics there, then copy and paste the link from each picture into your post..tadah!
Hope this helps

-
it is good to see all the hands going up for this
RTE TRIPSY TO TIPSY
come on how about Streak and Teela
going to put your hand up ????????
-
from the SMART hARSE comment,
I take it that you and Marissa will be doing the VERY SHORT haul to Vicky point
for the
"RTE TRIPSY TO TIPSY"
-
in defense on the aspersions made about my latest mount
i will add the following
have owned over 23 Honda's in the last 59 years,
from 50cc side valve step through, up to 1100 cc ST's
have ridden a 65cc step through down the gold coast highway
at 80 Kilo per hour, ducked down behind the handle bars
riding the HONDA highway white line while the traffic was doing 40 Kilo per hour
been pinched for doing 170+ kilo from Bulahdela to Raymond Terrace,
that's a story i may post one day
i have admired the BMW from afar all my life, BUT never have had the urge to go our and buy one "heaven forbid"
the ride on the back of B n M's bike was good fun, i was able to trust his riding,
the 3 things i tried hard at were
sit still and not fidget
stay vertical through the axis of the bike, and NOT lean in to the corners
try to force myself to relax each time i found my body starting to stiffen up
I am glad I was offered the ride, and got to play some of my 304 songs I loaded onto the HTC, before i left Brizvagas.
otherwise i would have been the ONLY rally attendee, without a bike and stay at the caravan park on my own,
would have had to be the only person to do that,
with that said, my newest bike
NO NO NO it is NOT a BMW
not even an ST1300 with bucket loads of BMW Farkles
all for fun :-))
-
come on how about Streak and Teela
going to put your hand up ????????
We shall see, depends on kids and work as to whether we will be coming along, but at the very least we will be there in spirit!
-
thanx for the reply,
that makes sense
but it is 3 weeks
surely mums and dads can do a day with work and kids
