Some still shots while not standing still, using the remote on the handle bars.  There is no digital zoom, but that is not so good anyway.

I like the still shots, they have come out very well.  (Not viewed the videos as we only have a rubbish mobile broadband at the moment).

Looks good. You have just motivated me to try something.

I just electrical taped my digital camera + mini-tripod to my right highway peg.

Results tomorrow.

you must buy 10 cameras, or $110 each (buy 15).....the newer and smaller HD Camera sells here for $399 and they are available for $140 but you must buy 15.

Diesel, I'm wondering if the powers to be might be prepared to look further into this and perhaps consider a bulk buy.  Because the value would exceed $1000 we'd be up for Duty and GST but that wouldn't amount to that much.

Do you want me to put an  'expression of interest' poll Couch to see if we can muster 10 or more interested parties?

At that sort of price I would be interested in the HD one, as the normal price is not one you would buy just to try out. If I had one set up I might just take some photos and video rather than just ride...

Diesel it was just a thought at the time........I've actually come across a used Drift HD (almost new) that a guy is asking $250.00 for. Best price anywhere new in AUS is $349.00. I'm trying to have a look at it on Thursday. I might try him at $200 if it looks good.
Have a look at the Alibaba web site & see what you think!!

Hey Diesel.............I had a look at that very slightly used Drift HD today, and guess what!................it wasn't slightly used at all :cuss

If fact, not only was the remote control showing severe signs of wear on the control buttons, but when he took the camera out of the box the first thing I noticed was that the attachment to the helmet strap, which was still attached to the camera, was actually broken in 2 places :eek.............in other words it had been in some sort of stack up :well.

Of course the d#$@head was soooooo surprised and couldn't imagine how it could have happened. And he fumbled around when I asked him where he brought it from. Needless to say,  :-((( I didn't buy it!  I have quite a lot of good Camera gear that I've purchased over the years and I've never even considered buying second hand equipment previously.................and I certainly won't again!!

I've noticed the price of new ones have come down recently so right now I'm just :think1  :think1

When it comes to these sort of things, new is the only way to go. At least that way, you have a warantee claim

Okay Okay - so I took a little bit of artistic licence - but the result is the same eh Couch?????       :grin

Thanks for sharing mate - around here - ANY story is a GOOD story!      :thumbsup

Cheers, Diesel

PS - when you guys coming up to stay in MY caravan? (As I DO NOT have a caravan - it is BYO!)      :crackup

The suction cup is great, it can handle slight curve and sticks well. Its just a matter of experimenting to get the pics you want

Nice use of the leg rope there Brock.

A Drift camera setup is on my ever growing wish list and great to see the various ways people attach them.
