Title: General comfort

I've had my 2002 ex-police ST 1100 since 2015. I seldom ride, in part, because I've always struggled with the lacking level of comfort and forward riding position. My only modification from stock is a set of 2.5" Rox bar risers that I've recently had installed. It's offered a little respite but not much. I just find that I lean too far forward, and that after a ride of even only a short distance my wrists are sore and my back is sore. I'm 178cm. Maybe I just have short arms, I dunno, but I'm wondering whether I try one last ditch effort for a comfort / positon improvement, or I sell and buy something else, but I do love my old girl. Any suggestions on other adjustments such as seat, pegs etc that may assist to upright me a bit. Cheers.

And, if going to that effort, see if the saddle can be sculptured to your shape. There are some nice ST1100 examples on this link - https://day-long.com/gallery/honda/.

Post by: STroppy on March 13, 2022, 08:12:32 AM: I had a expolice ST1100, am 183 tall and, apart from getting a John Morehouse replacement seat full seat to replace the single police version, no other position mods and could happily ride 1,000ks a day, stopping about every 300ks for a bum break, loved the bike.

MJM come highly recommended by a few mates from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Not cheap though, from memory a couple of years back, $650 was the estimate before I put the RDL on the ST1300.
