With such a diverse group, it's difficult to find a tricky TLA. Most people would recognize KJV or RSV. The Good News Translation (GNT) is a version of the Bible first published in 1976 in simple everyday language, while still being faithful to the meanings of the original Greek and Hebrew documents.
