Hi, Not again!!! I seemed to have turned another ride report into a Big Thing topic. >:()

Yesterday (02/02/2012) we had a ride to Port Pirie so we could do some shopping. Nothing really unusual about going there we go there quite often. Sometimes we put the rod in the trailer for Heather so she can play with the fishes for awhile.

http://g.co/maps/eb2hu

I spotted a shady car park space for the  :bl11 and did what we needed to do, got lunch and walked back to the  :bl11. Heather got her rod out and I got the camera out and took a couple shots.

:bl11 parked in shady spot in front of Port Prie silo's

I moved the  :bl11 closer to where Heather was fishing took another shot of the silos

Looking the other way from previous picture is the Chimney at the Port Pirie lead smelter plant

That might be true Kev, but when I'm on my ST, I feel like I'm five feet eleven and thirteen sixteenth inches tall   :nahnah
Ummmm, that'd be 183cm  :grin

Looks like you're behind big things too, judging by the rig & rider at the front!    :)

The first picture was taken (29/01/2009) on the then newly sealed section of road about 70kms south of Karratha on the Tom Price road.

The second picture is the same place taken on 21/6/2009. Some time in March that year flooding wiped out the track (about 10 to 12 metres high) on the lower rail bridge and destroyed the less than 9 month old road section.

So- there really are castles that look just like that- a classic design!
Imagine including that in your casual Saturday ride, you Ozzies!

Mount Cook must count as a Big Thing. She's just poking her head out of the clouds to the right of the flag pole. Taken from The Hermitage on the eastern side after a most excellent ride to get there.
