Yeah, makes sense.  But whoever added it did a shocking job of wiring it in. The joints are wrapped in electrical tape which has gone all gooey. The intermittent ground return goes down deep where I can't get at it without removing more plastic than I'm up for.  At this point I'll chicken out and get it fixed at the next service. At least I'll be able to point the workshop to the shoddy bit.

If the wiring is shoddy, then not done by PoPo workshop, probably the next owner.

My wiring is all connected by crimps, and heat shrink. No tape used. I hate cutting into existing wiring, bound to create problems later.
