Looking to see how many people would be interested in doing a long distance ride to the NT border.
Time to be confirmed but around May - July 2020

Did it in august, but could quite easily be tempted to do it again.

We've gone to Erldunda in the mid 90's on our CX500TC and camped there four nights.
While there we had a day trip to "The Alice" and a day ride to "Ayers Rock"
Heather would like to do this as well and maybe time a meet up on the return trip with her sis at Marla; ST might not handle about 50 or 60 km of the Oodnadatta track to where she lives.

I’m almost definitely in, an NT long weekend would be my preference as it’s a decent distance each way for me.

I mentioned the ride to Pete at our last RTE and he also suggested the cooler months. We have a long weekend in June which suits both states.
There's also Anzac and Easter weekends in April.
For Heather and I the timing isn't an issue though we tend to avoid long weekends due to rip off over pricing.

Either way I'd have to take a week of annual leave to be able to it. I don't know who's booked what at work and what is available but I've only booked two weeks for the national rally next year so I do have leave up my sleeve.

The June long weekend is also the Finke Desert Race weekend.

From my perspective, preferably not Easter (Bluesfest, Byron Bay). I vowed and declared this year was the last - but they have released the names of some of the artists they've signed up - oh dear!!!

How about 2-3 May? It’s May Day weekend here. Early May should be cool but not too cold.

I would suggest that if those wishing to attend should book their accommodation sooner rather than later
I have booked ours for overnight on the 2nd with an ETA of 7pm; no payment needed until arrival.
