Yes, AJ1300 and Ozrider we all had a great time. Streak and Diesel had both put a huge effort into the planning of this event, and everything worked out brilliantly. They even had the weather sorted  :thumbsup

There are more photo's here. I took nearly 400 pics over the weekend, and will upload more as I find time.

Well it certainly was the best weekend I have ever had and even after getting home last night .
Maitland to Vicky point 900 k's in 9 hrs I was pretty nucking fackered and after unpacking having a shower + a coffee I would have been quite happy to get up in the morning and DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN.

No trouble with clutch must be a mental thing but knees are suffering some thing cronical if it wasn't for these home made wings  + emergency repairs It would have been a hell of a lot more painfull + a few extra days getting home.

Now to redesign wings and Hydraulic centre stand.... I Don't mind falling of when stopped its the bloody landing on a hard surface that really gets me down.  :rofl :crackup :fp

Tipsy
I am lost and haves gone to find myself
Now If I get back before I return
Please ask me to wait.

BTW: I'd get that clutch of yours looked at ASAP Tipsy. If it has only limited uptake travel it will let you down sooner or later.  :)

I bled my clutch before going to Blackheath, but during that slow run up Mt Victoria mine started getting towards the end of travel before engaging properly. I am going to put a seal kit through the whole clutch system just in case, which at 165,000kms is not too bad by bike terms.

LOL .... I guess that explains what took me so long. I'm actually kind of worried about those point to point speed camera's I past through on the New England Hwy with my cruise set at 105kph? Hoping I don't get done twice in the one day.

Us Sydneysiders didn't have far to go home, but we made it a bit longer with both myself and Dick B and our pillions escorting Ian (Beatup) and his wife Helen, to the Greygum Cafe on the Putty road, after what I would describe as my best weekend in very long time, and as someone else said, a terrific alternative to a Ulysses AGM. I know it was only a couple of days but we packed that much in to that time, it seemed like a week  :)

It was great to finally add faces to names from the forum and I know I've made some wonderful new friends in the process.

Thanks have to go to Diesel (Dave) and Streak (Graham) for bringing it all to fruition.

As for the Saturday ride, what a terrific sight it was - in my mirrors at least - to see so many ST's coming down the hills behind me, and apart from one small chook chasing episode  :-[, a great  RTE  :eat.

I tried a few other places on a weekend recce late last year, and found this route to be the best as it included some great scenery, plenty of long straights, some fantastic twisties (as some wag said as we came over Scenic Hill out of Lithgow "Can we do that again!"), just long enough to keep us interested and short enough to not seem like an endurance ride.

Just after leaving the Tarana pub, I tried to look to the horizon to see what weather was in front of us, and took my mind off the job of staying on the black stuff for a split second and found myself trying to making a new road :cuss

I really thought "This is it!" >:(), but kept my head enough to not touch the front brake, slow down quickly enough to regain control and ride out of trouble, but the adrenalin kept pumping for a helluva long time after that, let me tell ya :thumbs

As for all the variations of models and their owners' farkles, my wishlist is ever so long now, it should keep me going for years - thanks guys and gals

The point to point cameras in NSW are for trucks at the moment - have to check whether the legislation to extend coverage has been mooted. We have a couple in the ACT that cover all vehicles.  It is funny that people slow down for them, then speed up after!

I hope your right! I'm no speedster, and it would be a shame to get nabbed twice in the one day for a low level infringement of cruising at 105kph.

On a bike you wouldn't.

If there the same as in SA then they record the front number plate on the truck. If said truck gets to the next camera earlier than it should then their booked.

Evenin' Baz, saaz et al...

Many thanks for the company and photos Guys very much appreciated :hatwave

...just off the phone to Laurie who's stuck in a 2 bob pub a little south of Glen Innes, drinking cheap beer, still trying to thaw out after many stops for roadworks, watching the bike change colour as it gradually got covered in mud, then battle further cold and then add rain from Guyra north :-[  :'(...

...I wasn't too unsympathetic was I when I ask him to get on with it coz  'Heartbeat' was comin' on :eek...woz I :fp
