Motorcycle marshal safety group, riders interested?
« on: May 01, 2015, 12:50:36 AM »
Hi guys,
I'm looking to set up a group of riders to form a motorcycle marshal safety team for events in and around Perth.
With the success and volunteers that participated in the dams challenge earlier in the month and the feedback from the riders of how much they enjoyed the day and would like to do more, with that in mind who would like to form a little group of riders into a marshalling safety team?
I'm in the process of contacting events offering a service to them.  This group is not limited to OZSTOC members, so if you have other friends who are interested that's fine, but no L platers please.
Please comment below if interested so we can arrange a gathering to talk things over.
Thanks
Pete

This is something I would definitely be interested in but with me being in Melbourne, a little far to go for events me thinks...  Does anyone know of groups or organizations that I can contact or be part of.

Brisbane is closer than Perth  ++  ;-*

Seriously thou, Contact; www.vic.cycling.org.au or email vic.info@cycling.org.au
ask to be put in contact with the event manager.

I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Thanks A.

I have emailed them, no response as of yet.  If anyone else has any ideas or thoughts, I would love to hear them.

As much as I love Brisbane and would love to live in Queensland some day I think it is still a little far to be riding just for an event.
