Bike Swap/Old ST owner looking for another ST
« on: December 13, 2014, 01:02:45 PM »
 :13Candy

Been a while since I've been on the site (new business venture etc) but after selling my trusted ST1300 last year and buying an adventure bike I'm now looking to come back to the ST.

Suzuki V Strom 650 (as per the description in the information sheet below!!!) it is a 2010 bike but was first registered in 2013 when I bought it with 1 km on the clock. The bike since then has only riden 2600 kms. Had two services with receipts.

Accessories are as follows:

Touratech: (Over $5,000 worth).

Zega aluminium pannier system
Pannier frames
Luggage rack extension
Universal tool case
Chain guard
Aluminium exhaust shield
Long distance foot pegs
Tank bag with map holder
Windscreen spoiler
Headlight shield
Tank crash bars
Radiator guard
Mudguard sport
Manifold cover
Oil cooler guard
Engine guard including oil cooling repositioning
Folding brake lever
Hand protectors
GPS Holder (Garmin)
Kick stand support

Seat Concepts remoulded seat for touring offering:

Redesigned shape offers better comfort and support.

The new shape also addresses the slope into the tank issue that the stock seat has.

This seat is universal and will work with the 650 and 1000.

This seat is 1/8 of a inch shorter than the stock 1000 seat and 9/16 taller than the 650 seat.

The passenger seating area is larger and also offers a dished shape for better passenger comfort.

Black Knight tracking device with service to November 2015 included. Works via an App and allows you to track the movement of your bike, lets family make sure your safe and records all movements, kms, speed etc (if required).

RAM:

iPhone 4 holder
Cup/drinks holder

The bike comes with 6 months rego in NSW and CTP........ Open to offers but sensible ones only. Delivery is available throughout NSW (at cost) and interstate by prior agreement.

No finance owing, never been in an accident and other than a few marks on the nearside crash bar (following it being scratches when placed on a trailer) the bikes in great condition.

Brand new battery fitted last week.

If anyone hears of a suitable bike for sale drop me a line.  Open to either ST1100 or ST1300, not bothered if it has ABS or not and doesn't need to be fully spec'd up as we all like to make our own changes.

Ideally I'd be looking to trade the bike with an ST owner whose possibly looking for a BRIEF change but will also be advertising elsewhere so a straight forward purchase may also be on the cards.

Keep safe and appreciate any info on bikes for sale as I know many of you have more than one ST;-)

IF SOMEONE COULD REMIND ME HOW TO LOAD ON THE SITE I'LL POST SOME MORE!

A friend of mine has a Blue ST1100 with about 46,000ks on it, I think it is a 1999 model. It has ABS and traction control and a topbox.

I believe he is asking around the $5,500 ono.

If you are interested I can give you his contact details.

Winston66 Northampton Western Australia here,
Just in case anyone is interested?
As luck would have it I have a 2002/2003 Ambassador red ST 1300 that is surplase to my needs.
Brief description,
114906 Klms.
I am second owner just getting on for 4 years. When  I purchased it had done 105000Klms.
so I haven"t given it much use. ( Have another two bikes).
Has always been garaged and only rained on once since I have had it.
New battery and V stream windshield , fitted within the last few months,
Aftermarket adjustable brake and clutch leavers, I have small hands and suffer from arthritis in both thumbs.
The rear tire is Presently a dark sider  and is fitted with a Kumho 205 50Z R17 93WXL rear tire last year ,I still have the other rear it is a Michelin Pilot Road 2170 60 ZR17 with at least 90% t read remaining. It was fitted by the Po. when I took delivery of the bike.
Front tire is a Dunlop Sport Max Road Smart with an est 50% tread.
Is fitted with the Electronic Motor Cycle Cruise Control from Motorcycle Setup Pty Ltd.Mount Waverley Victoria.
Standard seats however I have added a back rest for the driver.
Rear tip over bars (Motorcycle Larry USA)
Scratch on RHS mirror cover , and a scuff mark on the RHS front tip over bar cover , These were done by the Po.
Extra toe supports fitted in front of the gear and rear brake pedals. These are great for extra support for the feet and they keep your feet clear of those controls when you are using them.
12 Volt power outlet on RHS front pocket cover.
additional 12 volt power plug under seat for battery charger or as needed for other.
I  have replaced all the brake pads.
And all fluids and oil , filters etc have been replaced twice since 2011.
The ride is in good condition and presents well .
The Po. told me that the valve clearances had been done just prior to him selling me the bike to me but I have no documented proof of this.
Have just renewed the  Western Australian rego. for 12 months. $243.00.  It is not due again until 09/12/2015
My asking price is around the $7500.00 for this.
Shannons" agreed  comprehensive insurance value is $8000.00

Just as an addition to my previous post where I did not get around to mentioning it
I also have a couple of motorcycle pull along trailers that I have constructed over the last couple of years .
I could be talked into offering these for sale also.
There are a couple of pictures and a write up about one of the builds available.
you will have to find them as I do not know how to post the relevant links.
Look under.

And then there are some other photos Under-

I just hope that you can find that stuff
If any one is interested give me a call for further details etc .

Hi Sydney Blood Bikes (Nat)
Thanks for your interest, Did you find the write up on the teardrop trailer, as I said there are some other pictures under my profile which might give some details of the other trailer for you.
Both units have the same type of chassis  as supplied by Ezi Trailers and confirm to Australian standards and are currently registered in Western Australia.
The other trailer basically consists of a lockable , top opening storage compartment measuring 1020mm wide x1450mm. long, x270mm.high  with gas assist lift. there is a rear access to this compartment.
The attachment on top consists of a lockable 330 liter streamlined car topper  storage pod.
This is fitted so that it can also be opened while the lid of  base compartment is  opened and all of your stuff will not fall out, ie. it opens from the other side
At the front there is provision for a removable esky or other storage box measuring 500mm. x360mm, x 400mm high. or however much you want  in height. There is also built into the front two small lockers ,(one each side ) beside the esky position.
On the mudguards you can carry  if needed two 5 liter fuel container , one to each side.fitted externaly
I will en devour to post some more photos later this afternoon as soon as my son whom can do this stuff gets home.
Prices at this time would be-
For the Expanding Teardrop say $2,000.00
And the second trailer $1,800.00

Cheers and thanks for your interest,

Well hear goes another try at posting some pictures as promised.
This is my other trailer which has the bottom section as a storage compartment and the top part is a car top carrier type. I hope that the pictures are self explanatory.
