Okay - we ALL know that ONLY YOU care about your blog - but if you have a blog going (to do with motorcycles) - post it here - and the 'insanely bored' of us with all the time in the world on our hands may just pop in for a gander.
We ALL realise that we are new at this writing thingy, and that the content has to be written to appeal to people of many interests, so we agree to give plenty of quarter to each other's rantings. We are also not looking for critiquing - just read them if you want. Wot thuh
The chronological order of blogs can be hard to ascertain - so to start from the beginning - click 2012 date at the RHS. At the bottom of each article, you can click 'newer post' for the next one
Anyways - I've begun mine, and it looks like this.......

Got one? Post it below.

I did read a little of it.......liked the bit where he forgot to fill the spare fuel container and all most needed it. I'd sooner have my spare fuel and not need it rather than run out and need it.
The town Dalton get mentioned quite a lot in the TV show "Ice Road Truckers" which is normally filmed in Winter.

I went to his vid channel and watched a few clips - very impressive!
The sense of adventure and spontanaeity is first class!
Kudos to the presenter. :-++
Would have to admit a slight case of envy too, about now! :'(
Thanks for posting Keith.
Cheers, Diesel

He may have forgot the petrol but who hasn't forgotten something? :wink1

I've made a few 4000km trips myself but never thought to write anything about it other than fuel costs etc. And I have forgotten an item or two and remembered it a few Kms down the road and have gone back to get it.
-
I can't remember all the things i've forgotten. :rofl

Good thing (probably the only one) about getting older Keith! :p

Here's the blog that I created when in 2009 I rode Adelaide, Victoria, NSW, Cairns, Darwin and back home to Adelaide. It was on this trip that I bought my ST1300, when my Yamaha XJR1300 broke it's frame. :eek
-
Brilliant Stinky loved every mile (apart from the snapped frame :o). :) :-++
-
I just done one of these blogs in the last couple of days about the trips I do on my bike.
So far I have two trips up and they've been posted as Ride Reports on here but one has to start some where.......lol

Went back in and got rid of the background picture and changed the colours. Managed to get three pictures enlarged in one post and one in the border run post.......guess that's better as yesterday it would only allow me to enlarge two.

Glad you gave that background the flick. It was pretty hard to see against, and didn't add much to the concept of m/c travel. More like "Historical Home Decorating". :thumb

Greetings all,
Ros and I are heading off on our full circumnavigation of Oz early April (not long after returning from Middleton). We have set up this Blog to keep our friends and relos up to date on our travels. http://www.bushellsbikebashes.com/ (http://www.bushellsbikebashes.com/) Not much in it as yet but, hopefully, we plan to post every couple of days or so when we get going.

This blog thing is all new to me.......i just had to pick a default template to start with and I did play around with it and lost some functions and had to start again. For now I'll leave it as is but still puzzles me as to why I can't enlarge all the pictures. If you select a picture you get a slide show which is a bonus I guess.

I found a work around for the picture issue (technical issue)..........I went into HTML and changed the picture size manually.......one post done so far.

Hi everyone,
We have updated our round-Oz blog to include a brief summary of our warm-up run to Middleton and back (including my first ever attempt at a Helmet-Cam YouTube upload and link). Check it out on www.bushellsbikebashes.com (http://www.bushellsbikebashes.com)
Cheers

Nice Blog Dick, and good video quality (music choice is good too, my sort of stuff). I dont know about you, but I thought the camera was aimed a little low, seemed to be aimed about 10 mtrs in front of the bike, instead of down the road. Things have changed, I didnt recognise anything on Windsor rd, but then again its been 20 yrs since I was there. Traffic lights yet????
-
Thanks Brock,
Yes, you are right about the aiming bit. I am still working out how to properly aim it without a viewer but I am getting the hang of it.
Cheers

Here's mine... I started it ages ago (before I even had the ST) as a means of putting family pics up for myself and others. As usual though, I got sidetracked. The Middleton rally was the catalyst for getting it back up again. I was able to snap photos and create entries on my phone even when disconnected - then they'd upload next time I was within range... worked nicely. It kept my family up-to-date while I was away.
Anyway, I hope to keep this going now that it's there. I still need to revamp the photo album (still settling on the software), but that's not far away... unless I get distracted again.
So, here 'tis....
Main site (http://www.nook.net.au/www/)
First entry for Middleton (http://www.nook.net.au/www/2013/03/05/its-2am-i-cant-sleep/) - effectively my ride-report.
Any advice and constructive criticisms welcome.

Keith rides an ST1300 back home in England, and he and Ellen stayed with Chris and I for a few days in 2010. Then in 2012 we met up again and spent a few days riding the Snowy Mountains together. His report is buried somewhere deep in his blog.
