Ok, ram mount are connectors that are used for attaching thinks like sat navs, phones, uhf to dashboard, check out www.hurtlegear.com.au (http://www.hurtlegear.com.au)
The balls connect to the arms and to another ball which in turn is connected to the x mount for a phone or a sat nav mount.
These mounts are sought after parts and as an OZSTOC member was giving my fellow friends an opportunity to buy before advertising on eBay.

In my case, I have a Quadlock phone mount attached to one side and my pseudo-cop dashcam on the other. See the attached not-so-good pic.
