Alas I will miss this one probably. I actually thought I had posted previously that I had a grandsons birthday that day. If I did I have no idea where I posted it as is is not on this  thread.

Happy to meet   I will be coming from Enfield so we could meet at crafers BP.   It would be an easy 1.5 hour ride plus stop overs, bakery, fuel, call of nature.   To be there around 12.30 we could meet at 10ish.

Hope they have something I can eat. Having a date with the dentist Thursday morning for a tooth extraction or two. Have to be careful of what I eat for a few days.

Given the inclement weather forecast, I may be down to one attending (we'll decide on the day). If so I reckon I'll bring the new addition to the family (Yamaha MT03). It's serious fun in the hills.

Hoping to get a good long ride to get there, considering I'm the closest to Meningie. Bones of the route should be over 400ks round trip.

When I picked bike up from Meningie freeway to MB _ Tailem then down fairly straight forward   would have gone thru Wellington etc but adds time something chronic

Me and Dukes Highway don't get on, and after yesterday, I'll add Sturt Highway.

               I may be a bit closer? Like langers the weather may mean I'll be coming solo,unfortunately .bloody murphy,the worst weather in weeks and it has to be this Saturday !!!    And I just ironed the mud flap and polished the sight glass!

Forecast is for less than 1mm for Saturday at Meningie. More like a passing shower or two than non stop rain.

Now coming on my own as Heather isn't quite up to it. Minor medical issue which might get upset a little doing a 700km round trip on the bike.

Thinking of returning via the Narrung ferry or if I have enough time on the way there.

Please add Dale and Dad as maybes. Met Dale when we stopped for a stretch in Keith. Dale owns a 2005 ST1300 and a V Star , his dad rides a Kawasaki W800. Prospective OStoc member 🤓

Definitely going solo and riding the ST (so I can throw in wet weather gear etc). I reckon I'll go via Coro (Acklands Hill Rd), Clarendon, Meadows, Strath, Langhorne Creek, Wellington to Meningie. A bit more interesting than the freeway. Safe riding folks.

Home safe after riding through VERY strong crosswinds and rain, some of the worst I've ever tackled.  In places we had trouble keeping the bike in one lane and were worried we'd be blown off the road.   Happy to be home.

Definitely not good conditions for riding, was very blowy doing the circuit through Narrung. Further inland was better once on the freeway.

But good to meet up with everyone, including two new attendees, John Barrett & Dale, who JD & Vera managed to find on the ride over.

Me too.  The worst was just before Bremer Valley.  I had a bit of hail in that area too but it was the wind that worried me the most.  The way to Meningie was rain/cloud/sunshine on an endless cycle but the only real wind issues was between Coonalpyn and Meningie.  I'll write a ride report later.  Hopefully tomorrow's City to Bay isn't as bad.

Thanks for your company today.   I think I worked off all of the calories fighting the wind and rain on the way home.   As I got to regency road I had hail as well.   Glad we have all season bikes.

 :thumbs.  It was a good ride and it was good to see a great turnout regardless of the weather,
         (Mad dogs and English men ). Narung was pretty blowey but definitely worth the extra kilometres.
 Involuntary  lane changes aren't a good thing though!!!

Got home just after 7pm - not as bad wind wise between Meningie and Tailem Bend - only rain shower I had was in Murray Bridge but as usual after Burra the cold sets in once the sun goes behind the hills; 5C on the bike as I got into Peterborough.

It was 3°C between Birdwood at Tungkillo.  Even with the grip warmers on the fingers were frozen.
