2004 ST1300
« on: March 18, 2015, 02:51:41 PM »
HiHo all.  Just picked up our ST today (along with a CB400SF for the Wife).  Googling for a trailer to suit brought me here.  We bought this bike for the express purpose of riding it in The Longride scheduled for Mar/Apr16.  I did the last one to Ayers Rock on an old KLR650, which gave my Wife the bug (She's just got her Ps).  We now want to do the next one in comfort, and without the kids.  This'll do it I reckon!!

Anywho, will be getting used to the bike (the biggest I've ever owned) and sorting out what we need and don't need for the trip in the coming months.  I figure a light trailer to carry the swag/s should just about do it....

Cheers,
Steve.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone.  Currently call NSW home, for the second time.  Done QLD (3 times) and VIC.  Could be doing SA in the next year or so.  Or somewhere else....who knows!?!

Welcome aboard.
There's a lot of info in here about trailers.  A few of the guys have built their own.
Also plenty of advice about towbars, wiring etc.
You've definitely come to the right place!
Have a look in the Events section and come along to an RTE or two.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Welcome Luvo and the misses,

Nice bikes,  I have never ridden the ST13 due to having the 11 but I also have the CB400SF for a bit of light weight fun.
I am so jealous though ... I soooo wish my wife would take to riding a motorcycle.  I have trouble getting her to pillion let alone ride.

Enjoy the forum.
