Unfortunatley I can't make this gathering.    It's a very busy time of the year, with lots of competing committments.

Change of plan for us. The elderly relative has unfortunately contracted shingles so birthday celebrations are off. I reckon I can now make it, I suspect Julie will be a no show.
Hope to see you all there.

Dave and I are still watching the weather, the forecast keeps changing but so far so good. FYI 46 degrees forecast up our way today so will possibly get to 50 deg at home.

I'm planning the scenic route via Meningie, since riding from there is already in Ozstoc folklore.  :grin

Scarriest ride I've ever done, and my pillion-in-a-million was terrified

The ST has been prepped for sale so I'm taking the VStrom with 50:50 tyres, fingers crossed its not too wet and greasy.

Hi all, we have just had a last minute discussion  and have decided with much regret to cancel. Unfortunately Langhorne Creek area is going to be wet cold and the big one windy. Hope to catch up in the new year.

I suggest parking across the road where it's sealed.

Home safely.  Who'd have thought there'd be a day when I was the only Honda at an RTE.  :eek

Oh yes, very pleased to be home. A very pleasant lunch but the weather there and back was atrocious. No photos - Shillas posed the question but it got shot down very quickly - too bloody wet. I'm looking forward to our next outing. I wonder if we will go from the sublime to the ridiculous - torrential downpour to 44 degrees?

Actually I posed the question.  The riding in the rain didn't bother me.  Moving stuff from top box to pannier and vice versa, plus putting rain gear on off in the down pour was frustrating.

I'm glad I took the sensible option and drove. The road between Langhorne Creek and Strathalbyn was really bad with large sections of it underwater.

I almost went that way but instead followed Langer's route via Wistow to Mount Barker and cruise controlled the freeway home.
